There are 2 possible problems. One is the defrost cycle is not working properly this is usually indicated by a large amount of frost on the back freezer panel. If so, the circuit will have to be repaired and the evaperator thawed to remove the ice build up. The other is the fresh food damper is not working properly this is behind the "lump" in the back of the fridge compartment above the top shelf, remove the louver panel to see if it is open or closed. closed will be warm open should be cold. The water dispenser reservoir is probably frozen due to poor air circulation.

This is usually caused by a dirty condenser coil or a stalled condenser fan.
Remove the cover from the rear of the fridge and see if the fan is running. If not, make sure nothing is stuck in the blades keeping it from turning. If it turns freely you probably need a new fan motor but you would need to check the voltage to be sure.
Post back if you have any questions.

SOURCE: refrigerator not cooling.
Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Almost always, your described problem could be either:
In some instances, it could be the thermostat of the refrigerator but this would be least likely.
Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Try changing the damper settings in fresh food compartment. Your refrigerator has a control board and it is possible the board is no longer working correctly. If your board is bad I can help you locate one. If the fridge is still under warranty I would have the technician come out. He would possibly just change out the board without testing to original board. Other things that could cause problems are thermistor and defrost thermostat located inside the freezer and attached to the evaporator coil. If you continue to have problems, let me know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Faulty Cold control (Temperature Control)
The cold control is a temperature actuated switch and should open when the set temperature has been achieved. If the control does not open and turn the compressor off, it will continue to run and all items in the fresh food section will begin to freeze.
If the control is not closing, the compressor and all fans will cease to operate. Check the control for continuity.
This is usually not a do it your selfer.
