the smell could be coming from the burner plate have you tried removing the plate and cleaning it what is the smell that you are smelling is it like a metal burn type smell or is a grease or oil smell the hole top half of your oven does lift up as well as you can unplug each buner from the receptacle unplug all four lift the top panel and replug in that one burner then turn it on and inspect where the smell is coming from also if oven is ld sometimes the wires tend to get brittle and break causing them to arc but that would be more of a wire type of smell please message back with more clarity on what type of smell your smelling thank you again rickead1

The control board has gone out on the unit. You can access it by removing the screws on the back of the console panel. You will need to replace the control board with this part.

Asko t701 dryer burning smell

Loud noise is not a good description. What does it sound like? The dryer has a belt that turns the drum, the belt can wear and slip, there is a also a tensioner pulley on the belt system and then there is the motor that turns the drum. The smell could be from the belt, however you should know that dryers are not maintenance free and you have to clean them at least annually because they can build up lint in the cabinet and that lint can get into the heating element and it can start a fire.

If you smelled a plastic burning smell you've burned some wiring somewhere. You would need to pull out the whole thing and start by looking at the back. I once had a dead mouse that had shorted across the relatively high voltage terminals common on most stoves. You should unplug the stove before doing anything like removing panels. Be very careful. Once you've found the problem you might need to call an electrician to fix it, depending on how brave you feel and where the problem is.

Frigidaire gallery electric stove too hot

You will need to replace the burner switches for the burners that are not functioning correctly.
It also sounds like you have a problem with the OCU (oven control unit), this part is known to consumers as the clock.
Do a Google search for the model number and find a supplier for the parts. All three of these parts will easily cost over $300 all together.
Also the model number you listed in missing the last 2 letters. Locate the sticker which contains your model and serial number. This sticker will be on the oven frame when you open your bottom drawer.

Smoke comes out of grill on electric cooker

This sounds like some of the power wiring, or leads which go to the "electric" burners. the smoke is a wire based or very chemical based smell. that in it self is toxic. when it comes to something as major as this you should for your own safety contact the seller if it is under warranty. The voltages and risk or burns electrical and heat wise are not worth the risk to your person and or life and or property.

Oven smokes and smells like burning plastic

This happened with my oven, happened twice to the same (newer) oven actually. The smell and smoke occurred both with the oven and with the use of burners on stove top. Turned out it was the main line cord which had a split. The first repair they replaced the thermol block and all the bolts holding it into place (for a total of 9 parts) the second time (about a year later) the repairman replaced the line cord and said that it probably should have been done along with the first repair. The smell coming from the oven before the repair was a toxic burning wire or burnt plastic smell. There was also smoke if the oven was left on long enough. The repairman said that the amount of heat to "cook" the connection on the line was at a fairly dangerous level. It was recommended to me by the fire inspector (who was in my unit for annual condo inspections) that it was unsafe and to have it repaired immediately. Hope this helps. Best of luck.
