Your battery terminals inside the camera might be dirty. Clean them good with a qtip and isopropyl alcohol, and make sure they're clean. Otherwise, you have a more difficult problem and the unit will have to be troubleshot (and disassembled). Here is a web blog about dead cameras, and perhaps it will help you:

Good luck, thanks for using FixYa, and hope this helps.

How do I stop the battery from draining after only a few hours.

try letting the battery completely die and recharge it. Do this 2 or 3 times. Sometimes "topping up" a partially charged battery puts a memory into the battery and it wont allow you to do full charge.. I let my Nokia get to its last legs before replacing the battery with a spare and then fully charge the other one. Both batteries are now at least 6 years old.. Yes , its an old phone...

Rechargeable batteries fail if stored for long periods in a flat state.

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.

My quad is sparking but its not powerfull

What state of charge is the battery? A weak battery weakens the spark. Is water covering the top of the plates in each cell as it should? A battery will begin to resist taking a charge at about 1.5 years old. How old is the battery? How old is the plug(s)? Carbon buildup on the plug can rob power for the spark. Install a new plug(s). My questions are rhetorical, no need to answer them. Please rate my answer. Thanks.

My dell battery charger less than a week old....says plugged in but not charging.....what do i do?

The problem might be with your battery and not your charger. The lithium batteries that are used on laptops have a definite 3 year lifespan to them. Once that time passes the battery will no longer charge to 100%, and it will discharge quicker and quicker. Dell has a built in battery minder program installed on their hardware. If you left click on the Quickset icon in your Taskbar, a window with 3 tabs will open up. The last tab accross the top is for battery health. You can click on this tab to see if there are any warnings for your battery. If it is close to the end of its lifespan you will see a message similar to "Your battery is able to charge normally. However it is reaching the end of it's usable life. You can experience a longer operating time with a new battery. You might want to consider purchasing a new battery now." Once your battery does reach its end, you will get a red warning balloon stating the battery is now at the end of it's cycle and needs to be replaced.

If you do not see any of these messages then the fault probably lies with your charger. The only way you could test this is to try another charging of the same model. If you do not own an extra one then you will probably have to take your system into the local repair shop to have them test it out.

Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue. Should you need further information or assistance please do not hesitate to let us know.

Kymco midi foru, less than 6 months old batteries will not charge.

This will be due to the batteries being left uncharged for a long period of time. Should ideally be charged once a fortnight for at least 12 hours if the scooter is not used for any period of time. Unfortunately, the only real solution is new batteries.

My laptop gives me only 6 minutes on the battery after using an hp recovery disk. can you help me?

"Test your Power Supply output with a meter and compare to the spec on the bottom of the laptop. If it is O.K. then follow the steps below!

Depending on how old the battery is you may need a new battery. The software install "Recovery Disk" has no bearing on the battery life! Go into Control Panel-Power Options-Meter and see if the battery is taking a charge first. Assuming it is charging let it get to 100% and see what is says for time such as 1.2hr. etc. The battery has a memory and if it is charged before it is totaly discharged it sets a new memory. This means that 100% becomes less and less operational time. If you see the battery is charging and reaches 100% very fast, then you have the situation I just outlined. To try to reset the battery to it's original state you need to run the battery down to "DEAD" zero charge. Next put the battery in a ziplock bag and seal it. Now put it in the freezer for 2 days after which remove it from the freezer and let it come to room temp. Re-install the battery and charge it oner night. Repeat the process above in the Control Panel to see the time associated with a full charge. This does work 90% of the time if the battery is still good. The cold sets the memory back to it's original state. Physics\Cemestry!!!!!

P.S.

New 6600 mAh battery won't charge

Is the AC adapter the original that came with the laptop or is it a replacement?
Check the label on the laptop (on the bottom of the laptop) for the voltage and current requirements.
Check voltage output of the adapter with a multimeter, this voltage should be slightly higher that the voltage than what is shown on the adapter's label because there is no load on the adapter.
It could be that the current (amps) that the adapter is delivering less power than the laptop's requirements, whilst it can power the laptop it may not be sufficient to charge the battery fully.
Try charging the battery overnight by shutting down the laptop but leaving it connected to the mains. Then boot up the laptop in the morning and check the battery's charge state. If the battery is at or near full capacity, then the problem is a (part) faulty adapter.
