there are two wires that should come from the wall, Positive (Red) and Negative (Black). There for, two wire (positive and negative should be coming out of the fan into the wall since the electricity from the wall is what's going to power the fan.

The second white wire is not for the remote. The remote already has a sensor, that is connected to the fan engine by the manufacturer.

Follow the fan instruction carefully and strictly. You should not be misled my so doing.

    Good luck.

Wobbles......5 ceiling fans

Several things can cause a ceiling fan to wobble. The most of common of which is loose screws in the fan blade irons , that attach to the fan's motor. Just one loose screw can cause significant wobble and at times, an annoying noise. The other, which is more serious, is that the plastic ball on the top end of the down rod, that attaches to the electrical outlet bracket, is improperly installed. It generally has a groove in it, that must be installed so that it fits over the tang in the bracket. The tang keeps the ball in place. To inspect it, you will need to loosen the screw on the ceiling cowl, so that it slides down the down rod. If the ball is not resting in the bracket properly, lift the fan up by the down rod and put the plastic ball in the proper position. Be sure the wall switch for each fan you work on is turned OFF, before attempting in inspection or repair.

While you're at it, make sure the ceiling/electrical box bracket is tight to the the ceiling and is level,

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the wobbly problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I just need to know how to install this in an old house to replace a ceiling fixture and install a ceiling fan without having to make a huge hole in my ceiling. I can't find any instructions on the model...

If you're trying to replace a light fixture with a ceiling fan. The most important thing is to make sure that the electrical box in the ceiling can support the weight and momentum of a ceiling fan. If it's an old house, as you say, I suspect it's not. However, there are support kit, that you can but from most home centers, that will install without having to make a "huge hole" in your ceiling. If you have an attic above this room, accessing and beefing up the support of the electrical box would not be difficult. If you don't have that luxury, then the support kit is your best solution, as you don't need to have access to an attic above.

As far as the Model # 22200 is concerned ... Since you didn't mention what it was, I don't have a clue.

In any event, I hope this helps you in installing the ceiling fan. Please let me know and if you would please rate my response to you. Thank you!

It sounds that fan use to work and lights and you did correct thing by changing battery. I've had this problem and it just needs the reciever replaced. Reciever is located at electrical connection in ceiling. Just buy a new universal wireless remote and reciever at any home depot. if dont fill safe doing this task should call an electician to do job or someone with electrical skills.

Does the blue wires connect to the black or white wires? I cannot find the instruction booklet. Thanks

Hi, At the fan you'll have a black wire, blue wire, green wire and white wire.
In the ceiling you'll have a black wire, a white wire, and a bare copper wire. If you are using the same wall switch to turn on all of the power to the fan AND the light, connect as follows:
White at ceiling to white from fan
Black at ceiling to black and blue together from fan.
Bare copper wire at ceiling to green wire from fan.

When connected like this, the main power is from the switch, and the fan and light may be set by the pull switches on the fan.
Best regards, --W/D-- Please feel free to rate this solution... thanx!

Electrical box not working

unfortunately it sounds like the main electic wire is shorted out. Not the one to your fan, but the one that provides the power supply FOR the fan. The only way i know to fix this is to get an electrician. I am certain the wire needs replacing.

Can you please tell me how to install my Heritage ceiling fan?

Its really easy but you need to be safe, make sure all circuits are off to the outlets you are working on. Usually everything is color coated black goes with black (hot), white goes with white, ground goes with green or copper make sure you use electrical tape to tape up, then assemble from there using istructions. Hope this helps
