Firstly thanks for your reply much appreciated, but i found out what it was after 5 hours of messing about and googling, some how i had a problem with 1 of my .inf files the culprit was an input.inf it was either outdated or corrupt infact n=may not of even been there either way i managed to get a new 1 from the internet (backed up the old 1 and set a system restore point before changing it) located in the windows/inf/ and out it in next reboot voila its all functioning.

Sometimes PC's can test the patience of an angel but from each problem we become wiser of the technology infront of us thx again

Try it on different computers and test it out a bit see if its your computer or the keyboard first off.

Wireless Multimedia keyboard volume keys won't work.

Go to start and run then type services.msc or if using windows 7 just go to start and type services.msc in the search box. Once open find the service "Human Interface Device Access". Change it from manual to automatic and make sure that it is started.

Hotkeys not working

Try it first on a different computer and install the software there and see if it works. If it does, it could indicate a problem with your PC.

If it does not work on the other PC as well, the k/b is defective, and since it is still under warranty, best get it replaced.

If possible, try using the k/b on a different port. If using the PS/2 port, try using it on a USB port (if you have a PS/2 to USB adapter).

Finally, try a clean boot of the driver. Details for XP can be found here.
If you have Vista, go here instead.

Labtec wireless Keboard and/or mouse problem

I was having the same problem and who knows it may pop up again... But what worked for me was moving the transmitter. I think the transmitter is crappy and super sensitive to interference. After i moved it away from my monitor the problem went away. I have only had it this way for a few hours though so no guarantees. But so far so good.

maybe it is full of dust on those buttons. Try cleaning it with a duster of mini-brush because it interrupts the function.
