Question about Televison & Video
Try a hard reset first..Unplug all connections from the TV, including mains. Wait for about an hour.Nowkeeping the power button pressed, plug in the TV to the mains.
If that did not work, it looks like you have a burnt out resistor or a faulty convergence IC, or bust capacitors. Most likely the regulator is bad because of bad capacitors or you have a faulty flyback or the auto transformer attached to it. (The click sound you hear is probably the flyback). Can't really say for sure with my long distance diagnosis.
However, one things for sure...if you do not have any solid state printed circuit board repair experience, I'm afraid the best advice I can offer would be to call in a pro to assist you in this repair.
If you wish, you can contact Mitsubishi Electronics Customer Support at (800) 332-2119.
Hope that helps! Should you have any further questions, please feel free to post them here.
P.S. - If you find that the solution/answer I provided led you to, or resulted in a fix, please close the ticket with a FixYa! rating. I would be very grateful for your show of appreciation.
