I have a grren white and back wires goin to my

Black is the AC hot wire.
White is the AC neutral wire
And the green is your grounding wire.
Black will prob go to power switch, then to air pressure safety switch, and then to the motor.
White may go directly to motor or power switch.
And green will go usually to motor case or common tie point for grounds.

U-Line ice maker compressor won't run

Dose compressor fell too hot ? There could be several things wrong. First you will need to get out your Volt meter to make all test. With unit calling for freeze cycle the condenser fan and compressor should be running. Check at the compressor to make sure your getting power to the over load switch and then through it to compressor. if not then check to see if compressor is to hot and has the switch open> If so then unplug unit to let compressor cool down so switch will close. when switch closes plug unit back up and start up unit check to see it compressor starts if so then you will need to see what is causing compressor to over heat. could be dirty condenser, low charge, fan dropping out, Bad compressor.

Air conditioner clutch does not engage. two black wires going to a sensor or switch in the line along and in the center of the firewall has burnt insullation off. The two wires go into the large wire loom....

DO A AMP CHECK ON THE CLUTCH , SHOULD BE AROUND 10 AMPS . IT MAY BE A BAD CLUTCH ELECTRO MAGNET .. SOUNDS LIKE A RETRO FIT JOB, YOU NEED TO RUN THE FAN SPEED ON LOW, THE WAIST COOL FROM THE EVAPORATOR COOL THE COMPRESSOR. IF NOT THE COMPRESSOR GETS HOT AND THE EXTRA HEAT BURNS UP THE COIL..

Bathroom switch controls light & fan. Trying to change out switch into a gfi switch/receptile. Box contains 2 wires ( total 2 white and 2 black, plus ground). what do i do

First you have to identify cables.
You have 2 cables that enter box. Each cable has black and white wires.
One cable probably comes from breaker box, and one cable probably goes to Load (which means your fan-light)

Separate wires for testing. Turn power ON.
Test each wire to bare ground wire. Tester lights up on Hot wire. This wire will connect to brass 'Line' screw on back of new GFCI device.
Hot is identified. Test Hot to all other wires except bare ground. Tester lights up on Neutral wire. Neutral connects to silver screw that sits across from Line screw on new GFCI device.
Other two wires inside box go to Load.
These wires connect to the two wires that stick out on back of new GFCI device.

Ground wires are connected together and connect to green screw on new device.

Carrier out side unit not coming on. Removed the contactor waited 1/2 hour reinserted and only heard a click. Any idea's? Still blowing cool not cold air. thanks!

Most likely the run capacitor has failed or there is a problem with a hot terminal on the compressor. You did not include a model number. However, if you open the unit AFTER making sure the main CB is switched off the capacitors are usually under the top shroud not far from the contactor relay.

Also take a hard look at the contactor itself. Sometimes they get hot contact that will appear BLACK as you look at it. There is a spring that holds the contact points in place. You can very carefully remove the spring with a jewelers screwdriver and then lift the contacts off of the contactor. Just sand them off with 120 grit sand paper if you see they need attention and then reinstall the contact points on the top of the contactor.

Follow the wires from the Cap to the compressor. You will note a plastic cap on the top of the compressor. Remove the clip or nut and lift off the plastic cap. Inspect the 3 terminals on the top of the compressor and the wires. Usually what happens is that one of the terminals gets loose and then becomes hot which results in either a burned terminal or wire. You will probably have to remove a shield gain access to the top of the compressor.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Ariston LS 2020 dishwasher is tripping mains switch at several points of washing cycles. What's wrong with it?

It probably uses more electrisity than there is avaliable at peak preformance. It is safer to contact an electrician to have him measure the use of electrisity and why there is this sudden use.

COMPRESSER IS VERY HOT, FAN OUTSIDE BLOWING COLD AIR OUT NOT HOT

Most likely the unit is low on refrigerant. You could also have a restriction in the system. You need to put gauges on the unit.

High Pressure cutoff

YOUR OUTDOOR FAN MOTOR SHOULD NEVER SHUT OFF IN THE AC MODE. IT IS SUPPOSED TO SHUT OFF IN THE HEAT MODE WHEN ITS IN DEFROST. IF THE UNIT IS RUNNING IN COOL AND THE OUTSIDE MOTOR QUITS ,THE COMPRESSOR WILL QUIT SOON AFTER. EITHER THE RUN CAPACITOR FOR THE FAN IS BAD OR THE FAN MOTOR ITSELF IS BAD, IF CAP IS GOOD THEN THE MOTOR IS At FAULT. THE OUTDOOR PRESSURE SWITCH CAN ALSO OPEN IF THE INDOOR FAN MOTOR FAILS IN HEAT OR THE FILTER IS PLUM NASTY in heat OR THE INDOOR COIL IS PLUGGED UP in heat.. THE PRESSURE SWITCH USUALLY TRIPS AT 400 TO 425 SO ITS WORKING CORRECTLY. YOU MAY BE CONFUSING THE ISSUE SAYING THAT THE AIR IS HOT AND COLD INSIDE. IT IS COLD WHEN AC IS RUNNING HOT WHEN HEAT PUMP IS RUNNING IN HEAT BUT ESSENTIALLY not cold or hot if compressor isn't running, but a lot of folks describe the lack of cold air as hot when the compressor isnt running. but it basically is warm or house air temp.you test the capacitor with a capacitor tester or take it to motor shop and let them test it. odds are its a 5 , 7.5 or a 10. it should test within 10 % of rated value . ask for a RESCUE brand replacement motor. they are great ,reversable etc.carefully oil and sand the motor shaft and note exactly where the blade was located in relation to the grill so you get it back just the same. usually they wire up black to a leg of 220 power. white to the other leg of 220 power. brown and brown with white stripe to the capacitor.you can also pull whole fan shroud assembly on some units and take whole thing to motor shop and let them test motor cap, replace and all you do is return to unit and connect two power leads,
