Is this a Royal shredder???? your post does not say....there is no point in trying to put a GM waterpump onto a Toyota pickup truck.... if it is Royal give them a call at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance.

My shredder Royal RL170MX is not working, makes noise and everything, turn on but the paper is not going in,what can i do

If the motor sounds like its running but the cutting shafts are not turning then you have likely stripped the teeth off one or more of the plastic gears inside.
Take the unit apart to determine which gear/gears are damaged the contact ROYAL at 1-800-524-0799 for parts assistance.

Machine won't shred. Does turn on, and goes in

You dont say make or model so...get some shredder oil into the cutting teeth where you insert the paper...especially if its a x-cut shredder..make sure once in a while you shred a piece of paper with some of the oil poured onto the paper for lubrication of the cutting blades.

Paper gets jammed. Even shredding just one sheeet of paper. Clicking noise is heard before the red light comes on.

The problem was solved by putting some oil on the top of the shredder and running the motor forward and in reverse to coat the teeth. Thank you.

The shredder will not cut the paper. the motor

I just had this problem. I took the screws out from the bottom of the shredder and opened it up, take a look and see if there are any cracks around the frame that surrounds and holds the shredder in place, if so you have to glue the crack so the frame is stable again.(the crack/break in the frame prevents the paper from cutting because the teeth on the shredder are not fitted properly). hope this helps.

I was shredding paper when it started making a loud grinding noise and wouldn't accept any more paper. I've tried running it back and forth, but it only goes, maybe half way, either way, and it still...

This is a very common problem. Go out to the hardware store and buy some silicone spray. With the shredder unplugged, spray a good amount of the silicone inside all of the teeth and try to get all sides.

Plug it back in and work it back and forth a few times. It should work better with less noise now.

Olympia Shredder Jammed and not working

likely a spacer has broken, if you can see the underside of the cutting heads you will see a spacer or two hanging out, If this is the case the heads will have to be bebuilt or replaced.
