Turn table in microwave wont turn

Repairs are expensive. New microwaves are cheap. But you don't have to spend a dime on either. If your microwave turntable stopped spinning, here's an easy way to try and fix it. And all you need is some warm, soapy water and your own two hands. You don't have to be an appliance expert to troubleshoot a seemingly broken microwave turntable. You might find that all your little Zappy needs is a checkup and a good, thorough cleaning. If you follow these steps and find that your microwave still isn't turning, it probably means the motor has spun it's last spin. Then it's time to retire old Zappy. Unplug the microwave. Safety first, kids. Remove the glass tray and the circular turntable guide. Wash them both in warm, soapy water to get rid of anything stuck. Pay special attention to the rollers on your turntable guide, making sure they're able to spin freely. Clean the internal cavity. Make sure to check your microwave's center cavity to make sure it's free of movement-hindering (and gross) leftover food. Check that the drive bushing is working. Make sure that the drive bushing, the plastic mechanism in the bottom of the microwave's interior that the glass tray turns on, isn't worn out or split in two. If it is, you'll need to have it replaced. Put it back together. Put the turntable guide back into the circular groove. Place the glass tray turntable over the turntable guide and onto the drive bushing. Adjust until the drive bushing should fits perfectly into the grooves of the glass tray. Test it out. Zap a mug of water for a short bit to see if you fixed the problem. Do not run the microwave without anything in it.

turn it of and under your fridge or on the inside water is ment to full into the tray either the tray is full or your temp control is buggered. try tilting your fridge back about so it leans back and see if that helps but a new seal is about $20 and all you do is pul the old one off and pop the new one in place

Place a small piece of electrical tape over the contacts on the fluid tray. This will allow the machine to operate but you'll have to manually check the tray for liquids/cleaning.

Water is shooting straight into the ice container, and not into the ice trays. I had to turn it off b/c the ice tub was full of water.

Well I hope it is just a hose cause if it isnt it is your coils in your Icemaker . The water runs over the coils until it backs up to a switch (could be bad as well) shutting off the water so the cycle can begin to ice the water. So the most likely is the hose ,then the switch then the solenoid that shuts the water off. You can tesst the solenoid by exercising the shutoff arm on the ice maker to see if it does just that shut off. Let me know

Hello,

What this simply mean is that there has been a lose of wire from wiring connection which have brig up with the door of the oven what you are to do to solve this problem first of all trace the wire connection from the main power supply down to the control panel i.e the control unit .

2).Remove your microwave door will allows you to quickly clean out any accumulated food or grease. This also makes it easy to get to all the crumbs and debris around the door hinges. While you have the door off its hinges, examine the plastic panel and glass window for signs of damage. Make sure you install a replacement door that is designed for your brand of microwave to ensure that it will fit correctly.

jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Instructions and material needed bellow

(Phillips screwdriver (if necessary), Flathead screwdriver or putty knife)
  1. Remove the power cord from the electrical outlet and move your microwave onto a workbench or sturdy table. For cabinet-mounted microwaves, pry off the decorative grills or front panels and remove the mounting screws. You should then be able to slide the microwave out of its mounting bracket.
  2. Open the microwave door and remove the glass tray. Use a flathead screwdriver or putty knife to pry off the plastic cover on the inside of the door. Work around the edge of the glass until the cover slips free.
  3. Remove the door by pulling the mounting pins out of the hinges at the top and bottom. You may need an assistant to steady the door so you can have both hands free to work with the pins.
Thank you and thanks for using fixya.

Howdy. I'm guessing you have a new refridgerator with a built in ice maker. although I don't know what the overflow pump might be, the running water sound is likely the ice tray filling.

If the running water sound is continuous, then there is a problem and the water valve that supplies the fridge should be shut off. By now you have likely turned down the temp in the freezer section a little, so I will move on to tell you that the new fridges are mostly ridiculously loud and make as many as 30 different, unsettling noises. Many will even be so bold as to mention this in the user's guide. Ideally, once it has settled in, made its bucket full of ice and come down to happy temps, it will quiet down a little. All you can do is keep it as full as possible , as this helps it stay cold better and is more efficient.
I hope this helps some:)

We have a Hotpoint refrigerator/frezzer. It intermittently makes fan noises and stops making ice. Where do we find someone who can service the unit?

I hope your microwave doesn't make ice !!!
Are you in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). If not I can tell you what is happening.
All fridges have a timer so that the freezer goes thru a defrosting mode for about 3hrs
In that 3hrs there are hearter in the walls of the freezer to melt the ice.
As the ice melts , there is a drain from the back of your freezer down to the bottom of the fridge is a vaporator tray. The hose could be blocked and the water can't drain and after the defrost mode all that water changes to ice and it stops the fan
Take the time to make sure that hose is fre from abstruction
