There are a myriad of screws to remove around the edges and maybe a few near the middle of the bottom of the unit. When lifting the top off, be extremely careful of the cables between the top and bottom... have a large work area, padded, and have a helper to hold stuff when lifting top off. Do NOT force anything... feel if something is still connected and preventing the top from comming off. The keys should stay with the base of the unit.

Keys on yamaha digital piano are sounding more than one note at a time how can i fix this?

The keypads can develop dirt , failure of pads which can result in such malfunctioning. If you are able to open the piano then carefully remove the keypads , clean the surface and reset.
this must solve the issue unless the pads/springs/mechanism are having fault.

The keys in the middle range of my Yamaha electronic piano P-200 seem to be stuck and are very difficult to play - takes a lot of strength to get any sound. Could humidity be a problem? Could piano...

Although the keys have a weighted feel, this is not because of a system involving connection t hammers as in an acoustic piano. This is done mechanically, however, which would indicate a need for cleaning. If you have an authorized Yamaha service center in you area they would need to do the cleaning.

How to remove key from yamaha p80 electronic piano

This pertains to the white keys. If you need to take out a black one, you MUST remove the white ones alongside the black one first.

You push the back end of the key forward (takes a little bit of force) and then lift the back a bit to dis-engage it from the back rail. There is a flat spring under the key. Note how it sets in place.

When re-installing make SURE you get the front of the key engaged with the little lever before attempting to push it forward and down to re-engage the back in the rail.

Yamaha Electronic Piano- certain notes malfunctioning

Either the first or second closure matrix line for the "A" keys is bad.

This may be a cracked or shorted circuit board.

A bank of diodes is used to prevent sneak electrical path if more than one octave has notes pressed.

First thing is to clean ALL the key contact areas and the conductive rubber pills with 99% isoprophyl alcohol.

This involves dis-assembly of the key area. If you are not competent in electronics, best left to a pro shop.

The keys are scanned in a matrix, two contacts per key and all the individual notes are in common (all the "A;s", "B's"...) And each octave is strobed for the first set of contacts and then for the second set of contacts. an the whole octave is read in parallel.

The reason for two contacts is one closes first and then the other as a key is lowered. The time between these is measured and is the note VELOCITY which for a piano controls the loadness of the note. IF ONE of the two fail, the loudness will vary as yours does.

Some keys damage and piano frezzy up

If you have keys that are stuck down at startup this MAY cause the unit to freeze. The parts are probably availablle to repair the unit. It is likely you will have to take it to a repair facility unless you are experienced at electronics.

Keys sticking on Yamaha p120 digital piano....how do I open it up

you may not need to open it up.
try using a wax based furniture polish on the keys, it will leave a layer to act as a lubricant between the keys.

Yamaha P-120 Piano: Graded Hammer (NOT key) dysfunction?

My opinion is you should take the instrument to a yamaha authorized service center.. It's doubtful this will be user serviceable, particularly if the problem isn't on all the keys, and the service center will have access to the parts needed as well as more information from Yamaha than they will share with an end user.
