Vertical lines? How many pages have you printed? Check the counter and then answer to my post. Maybe you will need to replace the MK. Check the surface of optical cylinder for scratches. However, if the MK is not at the end of his life, and the cylinder surface is not damaged, you will need to clean the charge roller and then to execute an Drum Refresh from Service submenu. This is the most frecvent problem that I meet, related to vertical lines. There could be other bad components, but you will need to check first the drum unit.
Vertical black lines:Check with another cartridge..Check Teflon sleeve.Vertical white lines:Replace cartridge.. replace transfer roller..Clean laser scanner unit( technical skills required) Horizontal Black lines:Replace cartridge..
When u found any extra black or white vertical line, we can check 3 possibility: 1) check the toner container. U may have to replace a new 1 if necessary. 2) clean the charger wire. Just slide the Charger Cleaner (green color) backward and forward 3-4 times to clean the charger wire, then return to its original position. 3) check the charger cleaner is it in its original position or not?
pleas take a closer look at the pc drum and transfer belt, if there are also stripes then you find a problem, stripes on pc drum means new pc drum and on TBU there is possible to clean the cleaning unit but not in every case. if cleaning doesnt help new TBU
