Question about Sony Televison & Video

Sound OK. When turn on TV, picture will go off and on about 15-20 minutes. After TV "warms up". stops doing this. But, seems to get worse as time goers by.

The video IC of the TV seems to have gone, not completely though. That is why it is malfunctioning. Please have it changed immediately.

Unplug both the set and a box or receiver if used with the set, remove from power for several minutes and replug all to see if a reboot will help or not.

Sony Videoscope TV continuous hissing sound from back of tv and picture seems to be getting worse model kp 46c36 year 1997 once tv has warmed up hissing sound stop but picture still a little iffy


Ur high voltage is dying,the FBT,the flyback transformer is the prob.the big block of plastic with a red wire a with a cap hook to the CRT(crt tv).

Plasma "warm up" is now up to 30 minutes and climbing


put a towel across the top of the tv so it can heat up faster and you will get your picture. be carefull!!

Picture problem


Since it is 9 years model definetely loose contact and flux corrosion is there in wire connector and pcb also. Make one general service. Prolem solved.
