Your going to need to check the programming on the router make sure you have the right SSID and encryption keys if your using them on both router and PC. You might just need to reset your modem... but check programming for sure.

If you ge here to DLINK the support section can walk you through it.

Hp laptop not connecting to buffalo wireless router

does your laptop have the same type of wifi card? alot of people make this mistake over and over. all routers transmit at different frequences, you must make sure your wifi card accepts the same as the router. for example, if your router is a 802.11g, your laptop has to be a "g" aswel, modern wifi cards can take 3 or more different ones. the older the laptop is then the older the wifi card is, may need upgrading.

has your laptop connected to it or other routers before? check your wifi settings and make sure the routers wifi setting is turned to ON, you can gain access to the routers main settings byconnecting the router to your laptop via an ethernet cable, going to start, control panel, network and internet, right click your router and click properties, write down the I.P address it gives you on screen, then open internet exlorer, and type the I.P address you wrote down, press enter. you should now have access to all the main settings. hope this helps

Why is Cisco router not giving internet access to guests

I'll venture a guess that some file sharing or such activities are going on, using up the three guest IPs. I'd suggest upping the number of guest access in the router to something like 10, then taking it down from there. Perhaps don't broadcast SSID if you want to ensure someone is leeching your internet bandwidth, and share the name (SSID) only with your friends/guests.

If your laptop can detect the connection you need to reconnect if that doesn't work the best option is to reset the router and reconnect your network. I am attaching the link so you can reset it. Hope this helps.

I am using a dwl-650 card in my laptop with a linksys wireless router.my laptop says im connected with exelent signal but wont go to internet when i run the windows diagnose it says check router.I can...

You can check your connection if everything is properly connected.,
MOdem should be on the INTERNET port, The computer should be on the LAN port.
Sometimes wireless security is also causing the problem.
You can check your security by goin to the wired computer.
Open a browser and type in the address bar 192.168.1.1,
No username password is admin.
Click on wireless tab and then click on the wireless security.
Check these settings and then go back to your laptop disconnect and then reconnect again.

Cheers

My wireless is not working but the lan plugged in does, it was working fine then nothing, tried resetting in the back , left it unplugged all night, cant pull up the settings says error loading page

You don't have a cordless phone being used nearby do you. Many of them transmit on the same frequency as a wifi router and will kick the wifi off every time.

Do you have a cordless phone in the area transmitting at 2.4megahertz?
If you do, that is what is breaking your connection. I found this out by accident.

Wrt54gs router works on wired desktop, and wirelessly on laptop but not older laptop. if I plug in ethernet, I get internet just can't get wireless to work.

could be that the router is transmitting G or N but the old laptop is only B.
Router needs to be set to transmit B as well as G/N but be aware that this affects the performance of the newer laptop. It won't affect the desktop though.

Need to add Linksys WRT54G-TM wireless router with Linksys SPA 2102 phone adapter

your SPA2102-R seems to have one ethernet connection and one internet connection.
your WRT54G-TM seems to have one internet connection and 4 ethernet connections.

What you are trying to achive is; plug a ethernet cable into the ethernet connection on your SPA2102-R then plug the other end into the internet port of the WRT54G-TM

hope this helps, I have assumed that you intend to use a DSL broadband supplier not ADSL.

if you are changing service from DSL to ADSL then your WRT54G-TM needs to be first in line configured and working. then plug the internet port from the SPA2102-R into any of the WRT54G-TM ethernet ports.
