I have a sharp DT-400 projector that won't power on. I just replaced the lamp and it worked fine a couple of times. I did try the lamp reset sequence without success. Is there a manual reset somewhere in the box?

Have reset the lamp hours after installing the
new lamp? If, not the projector has treated the new lamp as old lamp &
refusing to light further. So, reset the lamp hours to zero. To reset the
lamp timer do as follows. Plug the power cord into the AC socket of the
projector. Switch ON the power of the socket. (not projector) While pressing
simultaneously MENU/HELP, ENTER & DOWN (button near MENU/HELP) on the projector, press STANDBY/ON on the
projector. "LAMP 000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer
is reset. If this does not correct your problem then the problem lies in
other area. Let me know so that further I can provide you solution. Above
things are preliminary.
Make sure you are punching the right buttons on the circle of buttons. There are inside buttons and outside buttons.
It took me several tries until I realized I was pushing the outside ones instead of the inside ones. Once I carefully looked at the button setup, I had no problems.
If you try to turn on the projector a fourth time without replacing the lamp, the projector will not turn on.
Press ON, INPUT, UNDO, left arrow, ENTER and right arrow on the projector in order, and then press ON. The lamp 0000H is displayed on the lower left of the screen.
Flip over the projector with the bottom up to you. you will see a panel door front right of the lens. There is one screw to be removed from the lamp panel door. There will be two holding screws that hold the lamp housing in place, remove these. grab the handle and pull up towards you thus releasing the lamp housing assy. Then place the new lamp and firmly press down and then tighten the two screws that held the lamp assy, then replace the cover.
You will then need to reset the lamp timer. by pressing the menu+enter+the arrow button between the keystone and menu button simultaneously.
The instruction manual says that to reset the timer you have to hold down (simultaneously) the Menu button, then Enter button and the Down arrow...then press the Standby/On button on the projector. This worked the first time I replaced the bulb, but now that I've had to replace it again, its not working. Good Luck.
While simultaneously holding down (+ . >) and AUTO SYNC on the projector, Press ( I ) ON and ( - . < ) on the projector.
"LAMP 0000H" is displayed, indicating that the lamp timer is reset.
NOTE..... Make sure only to reset the lamp timer only when replacing the lamp. If you reset the lamp timer and continue to use the same lamp, this may cause the lamp tp become damaged or explode...
