Washer will not drain. I can hear the motor or pump spining.

if washer not spining are draining u might have a clog pump are pump need replaceing are u might have a problem with your motor control broad need replaceing are it might just be a lose connect on the motor control broad all these problem ca be solve by google it an they show u a video on how to fix are replace the part are just call a techican to repair your machine

Can you hear the drain pump running? If it is unable to drain and you can hear the pump running then there would be something either in the drain line that goes from the pump to the outside of the machine or from the tub exit port to the pump itself. when you get to the pump assure that the impellar is spining on the inside of the pump. Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. If your washer doesn't drain or spin, you may read and learn what parts may cause this. First, you will want to check your water pump. You need to make sure it is working. Make sure you check the belt on the pump. Make sure it is not broken or loose. Also, make sure your pulley is not stuck in place. Sometimes, they will stick or barely turn at all. If this is the case, you will need to replace it. If the pump, pulley, and belt are working, make sure your motor is working. You should be able to hear it if it is. If it isn't, check your lid switch. The lid switch can cause the motor to not work. It may need adjusted. If not, go ahead and change it. A bad lid switch may cause the washer to not work at all. Now, if your pump is pumping and the washer still won't spin, you will want to check your belt and clutch. Once again, the belt may be broke or loose. Check to make sure your clutch is not worn also. This may be a case of a bad lid switch again as well. You could have a bad drive motor. This is what controls spinning, draining, and agitation. You could have a broken motor coupler. Over time, they will go bad and need replaced. It is possible that your transmission is slipping or damaged. And lastly, you could have a bad basket drive ir spin bearing. This is what allows the inner tub to move. check door switch or pump and motor assembly

Access the water pump and look for plugged drain hoses or a plugged filter as well as a slipping impeller on the pump shaft--or even a dead pump motor. Spin usually will not occur if there is a high water level in the machine. Try draining the tub into a bucket, then see if it will go into spin mode. Hope this helps!

motor you hear is probably pump motor ..remove bottom cover remove acess port on pump and clean

This should help you get to the coupler between the motor and the trans.

ckd to be sure pump is operating in drain/spin feel pump housing for vibrationn from pump spining if pump not runing or huming ckd voltage to pump with wires removed.. voltage 110? pump probably bad ck for loose impeller they have been known to come loose from motor shaft..no voltage? ckd wiring at control bd last resort bad control bd..good luck

i think there is problem in your water outlet pump problem first of all you check water is come out or not from machine

you have something jamming your water pump you may have to cleanout the pump and replace the motor coupling Well I'm going to do my best to fix your washer. First unplug the washer and turn off the water. If you have a shop vac take the drain hose out of the drain,and through the drain hose vacuum the water out of your washer. If you don't have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps . Then facing the washer locate the two screws. They will either be in the front or rear of the control panel and back them out far as you can. Once you have done that pull the control panel slightly forward, and tilt it back on the hinges. Now unplug the lid switch wire but don't forget to plug it back when your done. Next locate at the rear of the washer body the two gold clips then push forward, and take careful note of how they fit. Then pop them out with a screw driver tilt the washer body forward at 45 degree angel and walk forward with the body, and set it down. Now you will see the white pump and motor assembly. You should see two clips holding the pump to the motor pop them off, and pull the pump off the motor shaft. Now if you fell the need to remove the pump use the radiator hose clamp. take them and clamp the hose coming from the tub but its not necessary for the repair. Next disconnect the wiring harness from the motor (note the position of the harness for reassembly). Remove the two 5/16 inch screws from the motor clamps and pop the clamps off. Once that is complete, remove the motor put the new coupling on the motor and transmission shaft. I use a socket and a hammer
