Need a code for my Sony RM-Y16 Remote to split screen with my Comcast DVR

It is possible that this remote will not program to your Comcast dvr. Your DVR is probably newer than the remote and has new codes that the remote doesn't support. The only thing you can do now, is either purchase a new universal remote that supports both units. or use your Comcast remote to program it to your TV. the Comcast remotes are programmable.

Unless the new cable receiver is the same make and model as the old one you will have to reprogram.

Sharp TV (LC52D64U) remote control Comcast cable (DVR) box ?

I had the same problem with my remote. I would enter the code and there would be no response from the remote. I looked up the manual for the other comcast remote and the codes are 5 digits instead of 4. Try codes 10093 or 11602. The reason why there is no response from your remote is because it is waiting for you to enter the last digit of the code. Hope this helps.

Program Comcast remote to operate Samsung 46"LCD

Not sure which remote you're using. We have comcast Motorolla box and Samsung LN-T4671F. the code I used was 10812 and it works perfectly.

Go here for more and check the comcast section:

Direct TV DVR Receiver R15 Code

Try using the remote's "search" feature. If that doesn't work then it's probably not compatible.

Hope that helps...

Can't program mx-700 remote

Hello there,

I just had the same issue and solved it- its pretty easy as it turns out. check out

This is the previous model owners manual but it works. You'll want to program using the "learn" mode where you point the remotes at each other.
