Need the amp rating for the 12v power adapter on Boston BA635 speakers/subwoofer

The bigger the better. It will either get hot if it's not powerful enough, or work ok. The amperage isn't important. The voltage and polarity are. Worst case scenario is you will burn out the adapter if amperage is too low.

Printing cards are very light in my SP35

Reset all printer settings to default in the print-driver. If this doesn't correct, verify you are using the correct A/C adapter. A surprising number of our clients will mix these up with others, as they look very similar to A/C adapters for laptop PCs, scanners, and other common office items. These other devices normally require much lower power (voltage and/or amperage), and their adapters won't provide enough power to ID-card printers to operate properly.

The manufacturer's specification sticker that is affixed to your printer SHOULD indicate the voltage and amperage requirements of the SP35+. Similarly, the A/C adapter will list its output levels of power on its own sticker. These must match one-another.

If you still don't get relief, contact an authorize Datacard dealer or repair center (like Safe-Card ID Services!) for other support or repair options.

Lost my adapter (65w), bought a universal laptop adapter but it is rated at 90w. will this work for my everex stepnote nc1502?

Correct voltage Greg?

Then yes it will work

More Wattage means more Amperage.

Same voltage, but more Amperage

(Voltage times Amperage = Wattage )

KEEP the inside of your laptop CLEAN
Make sure you occasionally replace the Thermal Paste on the Processor (CPU), and Thermal Pad on the graphics chipset. (GPU)

Service Manual for disassembling the laptop?
Everex is out of business (To my knowledge), and I see no service manual available.

I should be able to step by step you through it, anyway; if you desire

You definitely want to keep the correct power adapter with the correct device. It may seem to work just fine but if the adapter does not have the ability to pull enough amperage, your device will eventually stop working. To be safe, if the voltages are identical, you should use the adapter with the higher amperage on either device. The devices only pull what amperage they need. If you plug in the wrong adapter and it has too much voltage then your device will likely be damaged also.
You can generally enter the information of the adapter (The information on the sticker, like "model dsa-31s fus") into google and you should be able to see what the adapter is for.

HOW DO I RECHARGE SPECIFICE CHARGER OR BY COMPUTER

By computer so that you will obtain the specific charger that you need.

plankw,
What laptop is it? Manufacturer name, and Model Number.
(Bottom of laptop)

Also,.....on the Bottom of the laptop is stated the Input, and Output voltage.
Your concern is the input Voltage, not so much about the Amperage.
(V = Voltage, A = Amperage)

Example;
Input: 12V2A (Sometimes printed as 12V~2A)
12 Volts at 2 Amperes.

The AC adapter (Charger) must also have the correct plug to fit the laptop's DC Power Jack.
(DC IN)

You need to make sure your power adapter is providing enough power to both run the laptop & charge the battery. A very good way to do this is to compare your laptop voltage & ampere requirements (written on a sticker on the bottom of the laptop) with the voltage & ampere ratings of the power adapter. Voltages should be the same, or the power adapter's voltage about up to 0.5 volts more than the laptop's voltage rating. Amperage of the power adapter should be at least equal to or greater than the laptop's rating. It should never be less than the laptop's rating, or else the power adapter will be providing insufficient amperes to charge the battery. Of course, the power adapter's nominal amperage might be ok, but it degraded on usage. You can verify this by testing using a good or new power adapter.

I turned on my dc100 today and it powered on, then went off. It will not power back on, even with the adapter attached. Earlier I was getting a "set date and time" message

sounds like the power adapter is failing, have you got a multy-meter to test if your gettin a voltage out of the adapter, the adapter should have an output voltage printed on the side, Also if the adapter is faulty it wont charge the battery so in turn wont fire up your cam it will just show on for a few seconds till the battery drains again. if you take your adapter to the local electrical store they will fined you one thats the same amperage/voltage and the correct polarity.

Scanner stopped in the middle of a scan

Although I can not be sure without testing it, the most common problem with this type of issue is that the power supply adapter has failed. According to the manual (posted at http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00215714/c00215714.pdf) this scanner has an external power adapter. Since you indicate that the scanners light does not come on, I would be inclined to believe that power adapter needs to be replaced. However, before you go and buy a new one, I would suggest you get the current adapter tested with a volt meter to determine if it is outputting the correct voltage and amperage.

If you discover that the power adapter has failed, you may be able to simply replace it in order to get the scanner up and running again. However please take note that depending on what part of the adapter circuit failed, its failure could possible have also damaged the scanner's internal circuits. However, if you find after testing that the adapter is outputting the correct voltage and amperage, then the problem would most likely be a scanner board circuitry failure.

Toshiba computers have a label on the bottom that displays the exact voltage and minimum amperage required to power the computer ("DC15V 3.0A", for example, which means 15 volts DC (direct current), at 3.0 amps. Each Toshiba AC adapter has a label indicating its output voltage and amperage capacity (for example, "DC15V 3.0A"). Important considerations for using AC adapters with portable computers:
The connectors must be compatible -- they must mate together correctly.
The voltage level must match exactly (a computer designed to run from 15 volts can be powered only by an adapter rated to produce 15 volts). If the AC adapter's voltage is higher than the computer's requirement, the computer and the battery may be damaged, If the AC adapter's voltage is lower, the computer may not operate correctly, or not operate at all.
The AC adapter must supply at least enough amperage (current) to meet the computer's amperage requirement. Otherwise, the computer may not run properly, the battery may not charge correctly, or may charge very slowly.
The quality of the power (ripple, noise and other factors) provided by the AC adapter must be very high. AC adapters from other manufacturers may supply sufficient amperage at the correct voltage level but the quality of the power may be poor, which can cause the computer to operate erratically, and could even cause damage to the computer. Whenever possible, use the correct Toshiba AC adapter for your computer.
The computer's power light may blink to indicate that there's a problem with the power from the AC adapter.
