Hello.

First, be certain that your router is a wireless router.

Test other wireless devices with your router. If it doesn't work, the wireless part of your router is faulty and the router should be replaced.

Test your notebook with other wireless routers or wi-fi to see if your notebook is the problem. If your notebook is the problem, some notebooks have a switch to turn on the wireless connection off/on. Check to see if your notebook has a wireless switch.

Hope these suggestions help.

Describe your 7" G-Netbook

There may be many reasons for this. Please check the following things one by one.

1. If you have another known good laptop then try it with your wi-fi router. See if the wi-fi router is able to connect to the internet

2. If you don't have another laptop then use an ethernet cable (RJ45) cable to connect to the wi-fi router. See if this helps.

3. While connected with the wi-fi router see if you can access the router. open any internet browser and type 192.168.0.0. you should get the router page. If you don't get then you have to configure the router first.

4. Check the internet settings of your browser. There will be "internet options" or similar in the menu of your browser. Click that. In the GUI you will get "connections" tab. Click that and select the proper wi-fi setup.

Trying to hook up DSI to AT&T 2701HG-B gateway to make it wireless

hi,
So you want to connect your Nintendo DSI to your 2wire modem.
Here are the steps for connecting you DSI wirelessly:
1. First you need to realize that the game console the requirements for the wireless password should be WEP.
2. Open the Nintendo DS setup Utility
3. Select the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings
4. on the next page just click on the search for an access point.
5. then click on your wireless name.
(when you still using the default name for your 2wire it will be 2wirexxx "XXX last 3 numbers of the serial number of the 2wire modem")
6. when it is asking for the wep key it is the 10 numbers under the barcode of your 2wire modem.
7. Select No under Auto-obtain IP Adress.
8. click Save settings.
this is the steps on connecting your DSI for wireless connection.
If this doesnt work call At&t for connecting your DSI.
Thank you for choosing FIXYA.

I don't know how to configure my 2wire 2700HG-B wireless, I need to connect my ipod. can someone help me to set them up?

hi there, first is you need to know the wireless settings of the 2wire first, the channel, SSID and the encryption.

once wireless settings are verified then you may try to go to the IPOD, go to settings/wi-fi/ then choose the network there/ try to connect to your network/if it will ask you for a network key, input that as well/ try to connect and you should be connected now.

Dear
If you have a wi-fi router - you can use PS3's wi-fi feature (available in all models except long gone 20GB). If you have a wired router - just get RJ-45 cable (Ethernet) and plug your PS3 into the router.
After that - go to Network Settings in menu and follow the instructions.
Nac address is not the ip address but the network card ID

Go into the network settings, select connection type.

Pick the wireless option, and select 'SCAN', your Sky router will come up.

Go right, select the type of securing setting (check what type this is by logging onto you router).

Enter the password.

U may require a WAP key for the connection.

Or do something like this

1.Go to network settings in settings menu.
2.Then go to internet connection settings.
3.Then select easy.
4.Select wireless.
5.Select scan.
6.Select your router from the list.
7.Make sure the ssid is correct(The same as the one on the bottom of the router)
8.Select WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK.
9.Type in the network key that is on the bottom of the router(In capitals)
10.Make sure everything is correct.
11.Test connection.

Hope this would help U dear. Please rate the answer if it helps u.
Thanks
Enjoy

How do i make my network wireless?

1 - Connect your router to your modem.
2 - Connect your notebook to the router. This is temporary, until you get wi-fi set up in the router.
3 - Start up a web browser, and type in the address 192.168.1.1 - this will access the web setup interface of the unit. Leave the name field blank, and type "admin" for the password (you should change this, once you have it configured).
4 - Setup the internet, etc, and make sure it's working.
5 - Go into wi-fi settings, and create an SSID (essentially, this is what the unit will be called). It probably already says "linksys" in that field. Change it, then create a key (it's a password) for your wireless network.
6 - Save your settings, then disconnect your notebook from the router. Reboot the router.
7 - Make sure you have wi-fi activated on your notebook. Some do this automatically, some don't. It should "see" your network, with the name you gave it during setup. Click on it to connect, and you'll be prompted to enter the password you assigned during setup.
8 - Go surf wirelessly.

Cheers

Loosing wireless connection

It sounds to me like your wi-fi client might be affected by some sort of timeout or overload type kick. Is it just the PC or both the PC and the Xbox?

By "timeout" this could be your "IP Lease" that is too short (look in your ADSL PPP/PPOE configuration)
Otherwise would you be using any P2P software? If so you might want to look in the settings for something called MTU. Set this to something like 1500 then if that doesn't do it reduce it to 1492.

The only other thing I can think of is that your pc might be having authentication problems. Degrade your wi-fi security (go from WPA to WEP) and test to see if that makes any improvements.
