Question about Panasonic NN-L531WF Microwave Oven

1 Answer

My Panasonic NN-L531WF microwave stopped working recently. I have no idea what happened - it was working fine, and one day I came home and the display was off. I have tried pressing the buttons to see if it was just the display, and the microwave is unresponsive. I've tried plugging it into other outlets, as well as testing the outlet it had been plugged into by plugging in other outlets, and the outlets are fine. Any advice would be much appreciated. The microwave is more than five years old and no longer under warranty.

This sounds like you have a some bad circuitry. I would advise that you take it to an appliance reapair shop, as repairing these can be tricky, and you have to test several parts to ensure that you find the issue and resolve it.

There is no power coming into my microwave which is a panasonic nn-L531WF model. I think it's the fuse. How can i change the fuse?

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

In all likelihood the mangnetron is failed or failing, or perhaps even the Power Supply is faulty. You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man.
Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one

Our microwave oven Panasonic NN-S252WF stops after

Our technician suggest that there may be a problem with the Inverter Board in this model, which is something that would need to be looked at by a Service Center.

In rare cases it could be the door switches.

My microwave turns on when the door is openned.

UNPLUG AND DONT USE you have a bad or wet control board . if you gave cleaned the keypad in the last day or so , it might dry out in a few days ......if not it just went bad . most control boards are between 130.00 and 160.00 without looking up your oven ... so in most cases its not worth the repair

Start but shut off after 5 seconds.panasonic microwave oven model NN-L531WF

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here.
