Remove keyboard on compaq presario 700...

So I left my laptop out, just bought it a few months ago. Dog peed on it. Turned it off immediately, set it over the heater to dry overnight. Boots up perfectly now and the mouse pad works great, but none of the keys work! Trying to replace keyboard or clean inside keys? Removed all screws from back and can't seem to remove the top of the keyboard portion, it doesn't budge. Is there a bezel I am missing or some tab type closure? Looked for one but can't find it. Have computer repair experience just not with this laptop.

- Thank you was able to pull the keyboard off now easily. Removed the clear plastic sticky off the back of the keyboard. Keys are not "stuck" but are not being recognized. Any idea of how to clean the inside of the keyboard? Was thinking about soaking it in water and mild laundry detergent, but not sure about that. It has dried sticky stinky dog urine inside the spaces of the actual keyboard. The good news is that the plastic sticker prevented the pee from getting into the computer so everything there is fine. If this doesn't fix I will probably just hook up an external usb keyboard, but would like to fix instead.

Thank you so much!

-   Okay, I finally figured it out. Plus it appears that there's a difference between the Compaq 700 and the Compaq *C*700. I just had to push my smallest screwdriver into one of the holes and it pushed the keyboard out. (A paperclip would also probably suffice). It would've helped if the manual said that. It also would've helped if it better explained how to release the zero-insertion-force connector holding in the cable, but I managed to figure that out after some playing around. My laptop bezel isn't too bad after the ordeal (the old keyboard took most of the scratches) but it still ticks me off that HP doesn't know how to explain things to its customers.-   Visor4

You're kidding, right? I'm looking at my Compaq C776 and I can barely see the tabs. When I try to pry at them with a small flathead screwdriver, I scratch up the nice finish above the keyboard. This is NOT an "easy" solution as the keyboard still won't budge and now I'm scratching my 3-week-old laptop all to hell. I've removed all 3 keyboard screws, and a couple of others just for good measure. The HP manual does not mention anything about poking at tabs, and makes it seem like the keyboard should come out in a sinch. Anybody else got any ideas?-   Visor4

- The warm soapy water sounds like the best idea.

My compaq presario 700 is apparently made a little differently.
there are no tabs...to get the key board out, all you have to do is:
Use a paper clip(that way it doesn't scratch everything as badly..
slip the paperclip in the corner above your del key...this is the thin panel that has your power light, volume keys etc. work your paperclip sliding it to the left, as you still pull up on it, and that panel will pop right off, once that's off, you can then just slide the keyboard upwards...and it will come right out.
