Why is the thread breaking when I hit a thicker part of the clothing item.

Check the tension on the thread as it may be too strong to pull the cotton through the thicker material.

Top thread breaking every two inches

Make sure that the tension is not too high. Also I recommend a high quality thread if you're using cotton. Signature cotton thread works great. Jukis tend to break lower quality cottons because of their speed, but they can handle lower quality polyester threads.

Skipping stitches on bobbin thread Juki DDL555-5. any suggestions?

sounds like u have the wrong needle or machine is out of time. if its a needle feed machine u might have the wrong bobbin case. try lowering the needle slightly. machine is easy to time. theres a mark on the needle bar which u align with the bottom of the bar guide then loosen the hook (3 screws) and move hook till it just starts to meet the needle. careful of side to side movment. bobbin case has to remain in the finger.

Thread keeps breaking

Hai, I think your thread very old or thick. Please putting some drop oil in thread. If your cloth lighter, you use small size needle and new cotton or silk thread.

Using Juki DDL555, Thread breaks when trying to hem jeans

Sometimes using a larger needle will help. That is if it's shredding the thread when it goes through the needle which causes it to break.

Juki DDL 227 top needle keeps breaking

Needle breaks
1.the needle is damaged
2.the needle is not correctly inserted
3.wrong size needle for the fabric
4.the wrong foot is attached
5.the needle clamp screw is loose
6. Top tension is too tight
7. Machine could be out of time

The needle thread breaks

1. the needle thread is not threaded properly

2. The needle thread tension is to tight

3. The needle is bent or blunt

4. The needle is incorrectly inserted

5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew

6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing

7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle
