Usually such parts are difficult to find. You may try flea market or junk shops to find a dead printer of the same model & take out the ink absorber from that to replace.

Canon Printer Pixma MX700 All-In-One/ Alert message received. Ink absorber almost full. Contact service. How to get to? Have to replace?

Ink Absorber Full
This may clear the ink absorber problem. There is ink absorbers located at both ends of the printer where the ink head move.
To dry the ink absorber, power up the printer and open the cover so the ink cartridges and print head will move to the middle of the printer.
Then take several sheets of absorbent tissue, fold it into a pad and place it inside the printer over the ink absorber on the far left hand side of the printer to soak up the excess ink. You may need to change the absorbent tissue a few times. Then repeat the same procedure on the right hand ink absorber.
Close the lid and the printer should now function normally.

My Canon MP210 printer [ USB001 ] said the Ink absorber is Full contact the service center. Guess what, the service center just gave information. I need to know if will be able to fix or will...

There are two possible ways to remove the error from your printer. First is to actually clean the absorber pads that are full of waste ink. The second is to reset the printer to clear the error and let the printer print again.
Clean the two absorber pads. There are actually two absorber pads located on the right side of the printer, under the
ink cartridges when the carrier is in the home position.
Accessing the pads and remove them for cleaning?
Turn on the printer. Lift the top cover to expose the ink cartridges. As soon as you lift up the cover the cartridge carrier will move away from its home base. Then the pads will be exposed. It will be a dirty job so be prepared with your tweezers and extra cloth for some ink spillage. Using the tweezers, lift up the pads sitting on the rubber retainer. The pads can be easily clean by placing them under running water. Use warm water to remove the ink from the pads. Dry the pads and reinstall them. Same procedure if you are installing new pads.

However, the problem will not be solve especially if you are currently facing the waste ink absorber full error or E-27.

No you just need a waste ink software resetter for your printer. Search using Google about your printer manufacturer and resetter for the particular model.

Absorber is full canon mp145

All ink printers clean the printhead periodically by squirting ink through the nozzles, and collecting it in a sponge type area in the bottom of the unit. In the Canon ink printer, this absorber is monitored, and when it becomes full, it gives you the full message. The printer stops to prevent ink from leaking out of it. (HP has no monitoring system, you know you need service when your desk is ruined)
To replace the ink absorbers on this model, it requires that the printer be dismantled, and a good tech will wash everything, replace the absorbers, and reset the counter.
You have a low end model that can be replaced for what it would cost to do this job.
I don't think it's a job for the do-it-yourselfer.

Mt printer does not work

You only need the drain pack assembly, #QL2-0194-000. Around $10.00. The worst part is you need Canon Diagnostics to reset the absorber count and turn off the error.

I keep getting an error message on my Cannon Pixma ip 1500 printer that says:'The waste ink absorber is full". Contact the service Center. Can you tell me what I need to do to get this problem...

You need to take the printer apart and replace the ink absorbers. There are 2 of them. Then you also use a ip1500 service tool(software) to reset the counters. You really need a tech to do this.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

I860 used ink tank full

The Canon website states that the "ink absorber" needs replacement. The printer will not function when the absorber is "full" They discourage self-servicing the absorber, as "replacing the ink absorber is a complicated and potentially messy procedure," and lists authorized service locations based on zip or address. One authorized shop quoted $59 labor plus parts to replace. Almost better to buy a new printer.

Printer problem

The ink absorber (a felt pad) is provided so the ink lost during cleaning has a restricted area to ensure the ink doesn't escape into mechanical areas of the printer.
I haven't seen the inside of your model but this is probably being monitored using reflected light and once the reflection is reduced (pad changes from white to dark) this warning is triggered.

The printer has been disabled to avoid cast-off ink from overflowing the recess in which the pad is installed.

Unless you are very good at finding the sometimes many snaps that hold your printer together, it should be turned over to a professional.

As a retired tech, I need to warn you that the cost of labor and the pad needed will probably exceed the cost of a new printer.

If you decide to replace it, be advised that most printers are supplied with only minimal amounts of ink in their included ink cartridges; please consider buying cartridges along with the printer to have available when the original cartridges run dry.
