Question about Hitachi 60V500 60" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
This problem happens because the LCD chips that generates the image receives bad data - no connection whatsoever with the bulb or the optical engine (they were replaced unnecessarily).
You have a bad connection somewhere on your tv's mainboard - take the back cover off and reseat all wires. Also take a look at all the solderings for the wires and connectors - one of them might have failed and , even if it still looks ok from afar , it no longer does its job.
