Question about Amphion Mediaworks T-365 System

System Turns, Says "HELLO" but does not respond

We have had the T-365 System for almost 2 years and last night turned it on and it did not respond. It only shows "Hello" in the window and the remote buttons will not work or the push buttons on the hard unit itself. We can not get the sliding drawer to open to even retrieve a DVD. We have replaced the batteries in the remote with no luck. Still no response.

I had it unplugged over night. I thought it was a bad power source. I then tried it in a different outlet and it came on. I then hooked the whole thing back up thinking that it was now working. Put the cd back in turned it on, it loaded and started playing and then once again just quit. Maybe it's the power supply box?????????

That unit probably has a simple microprocessor to keep house and, as we all know and hate from our PCs, systems can lock up and sometimes, it isn't software related.

Try pulling the AC plug overnight to see if it restores access from the remote.
This will often cure an apparent lockup problem such as you are having.

How do you manually eject a DVD from a AMW T-365 that won't turn on?

You can remove the cabinet by removing 4 screws. Then pick up white circular plastic ring over the DVD and carefully ease the DVD out backwards.

Speakers not working with stereo

Take the disk out of the disk tray, go to setup and reset the unit under the preference menu to "Default".

I was moving around my large woofer speaker last night and then all of a sudden the unit went into protection mode. I tried all the various solutions posted on here and nothing worked. Then I went back to my speaker connections on the woofer and unplugged them and plugged them in again and it seems to be ok now. Very annoying problem. Can I suggest unplugging all the speaker cables and replugging them back in. Also another solution may have been holding down the power button when powering up the unit. Give all the above a try.

Unit says Init Please Wait

I've just spent the last 3 nights trying to fix that same issue with my player. I ended up pulling out the dvd tray assembly, and making sure there wasn't anything broken inside or obstructing other pieces. Come to find out, my 1 year old had pulled on one of the trays and it pulled the tray off it's tracks. After that, it would just go to "init please wait" forever. I pulled the side track cover off and aligned the tracks manually. Everything had to be absolutely perfect or else you'd get nothing. After the fact, I realized that there were two holes in the bottom of the player that you can take a spare small gear (which is attached to the plastic cover on top of the dvd tray assembly) and stick it in there and manually adjust the tray positions to make sure everything is aligned properly. After messing with it three days, it ended up being quite simple to fix. Everything works like a charm now. If you need details, feel free to email me.

Need help fixing

I had the same problem a couple years ago with mine. After letting it set for several months, I tried to plug it in again after moving into another house. All of a sudden, it started working again. That was 1 year ago, but just last week...it did it again. I noticed that it does this if it is left on for an extended amount of time (my wife goes to bed at night and leaves it on). I cannot find anything on how to fix it, and no warranty assistance from RCA. I'm purchasing a Sony today, but will hold onto the RCA in case it decides to work again.
