My samson vhf td mic was dropped... mic does not work anymore. can i replace the mic

You may be able to get the cartridge in the mike replaced. Whichever is more economical new mike or repair. It has been discontinued so your best bet is to contact them here:http://www.samsontech.com/main/misc.cfm?pageID=6 They might be able to recommend a newer model mike that will match your receiver. Let me know if this helps.

Receiver works fine, but nothing out mike, either hailer or transmitter functions. How do I troubleshoot the mic?

make sure that you havent pulled one of the wires loose inside.. it is pretty easy to do.. I did it myself and didnt realize it until i had the same problem.. check where the mic. plugs into the radio first, if that is okay then it may be in your mic itself.. what kind of mic do you have it hooked up to

I have a Raymarine VHF marine radio but cannot get channel 37 - why not?

Hi,

To my knowledge, Ch 37 (M1) is used by the UK Marinas and Yacht Clubs, however, the Raymarine Ray45VHF uses the US VHF Marine Radio Channels allocations/standard where there is no Ch 37 (actually no Chs 29-59).

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
