Hi,
Unfortunately no....but did they try a new capacitor first??? I would have them replace that first and then if that don't work the compressor will have to be replaced..

What should i do when i replaced my alternator and got a new battery, and the truck still needs to be jumped started after two days. what could be the problem??

Sounds like you need a new starter. Did you check it out before you replaced the alternator and battery?

Some vehicles have a seperate selenoid on the firewall that engages when you turn to switch to start the engine. Others have the selenoid mounted to the starter. I

I would first bypass the selenoid valve and provide power directly to the starter motor. If it starts then it's the selenoid. If it doesn't then it's the starter motor - may have a flat spot in the windings or possibly burned but not shorted windings in the motor.

Motor just hums, grinder wedges are free, no leaks apparent, motor turns free in both directions.

yes there is start capacitor on each motor, connected to start winding.
There are two windings on each motor: start winding and run winding.
Both windings receive power at same time. If the start winding is bad, or capacitor is bad, then motor hums as the run winding receives power but there is not enough torque to get the motor rotating.
If motor is humming instead of rotating, then quickly the motor overheats and looses speed after repair or melts and fails.
The problem with disposal repair is getting the thing apart... finding replacement capacitor, or replacement parts, and then reassembling without a leak.

Motor humms but wont engage

The start capacitor or start winding has gone bad. Or bearings are dry.
Don't run motor if it does not rotate full speed or motor will overheat and go bad.
Replace or repair motor.

Each motor has 2 winding circuits.
Start winding and run winding.
Both windings receive power same time.
Start winding has capacitor that releases sudden burst of electricity that starts motor rotation. Kind of like low speed on transmission.
Run winding then brings motor up to speed.

Dryer mod 11072952100 turn only with hand on start button I checked heating element all OK. still no heat.what ells to check.pleas help. thank you.

Hello,

Usually 100% of time that happens the cause is a bad motor,it has a start winding, anda run winding, the start winding is obviously good but the run winding is most likely the problem. The start/run windings are not a seperate part part of the motor that could be purchased seperatly but the motor must be replaced as a complete asm.

Dryer starts when rotating sping loaded start switch and after releasing it dry stops.

Hello,

it souds as if the run winding on the motor is bad, all dryer motors have a run&start winding on the motor, the start winding comes on at the beginning to give teh motor a extra little ummph to start the motor then the start winding will cut out. What your experiencing is the start winding working but the run winding not., the motor can not be repaired but only replaced as a complete assambly

Dryer will not stay on unless the start button is constantly depressed

your motor maybe bad. it runs on "start" winding but not switch to the "run" winding. there is a mechanical switch iside the motor that is not making the change from start to run. replace the motor.

My pool motor has had problems starting occasionally. now it will not start at all. It is knocking the breaker.

The motor has a centrifugal start switch which connects the starter winding to the power source until the motor gets up to speed. Then it disconnects the start winding and connects the run winding.

Not starting intermittently could be a malfunctioning centrifugal start switch or a bad start winding.

Since the breaker is tripping, I would say it is likely that the start winding has shorted. In this case the motor will need to be rebuilt or replaced.

AC unit wong start unless I spin the blower

you have 2 windings that are in you motor,One winding is the start winding It give the motor its initial boost that gets the fan spinning. The other winding is the run winding and it takes over and keeps the fan running. So it sounds like the motor is bad because the start winding is not giving the boost it needs to start. good luck--Nate

Motor stops

Could be the run winding on the motor...indicating a bad motor. When you press the button, the start winding starts the motor, then the run winding kicks in to run the motor and the start winding turns off (it's no longer needed). You should replace the motor, that would be my first thought.

Dryer On Switch

If you're really lucky it may be a broken or burnt off wire at the motor, but more likely you have a bad motor. When you push the start button you are energizing the start winding on the motor, but if there is no circuit through the run winding the motor will not continue to run when you release the button. Could be a bad run winding or the centrifugal switch is not resetting when the motor stops. Either way you are most likely looking at a new motor (expensive and usually a pain to install) or replacing the dryer. Sorry for the bad news. (remember good advice = fixya rating)
