Question about Saniflo 011 Sanipack Macerating Pump Only for In-Wall Frame System

Open Question

My Saniflo Sanipack macerator is not pumping but is still making the noise periodically like it is spinning. It attempts to run every now and again but never empties the contents of the shower or toilet. It is not blocked (have checked) and was working well until recently.

SOURCE: How to install toilet macerator?

on your out put pipe make sure you put as few turns and bends in it as you can, this will help the pump out when it's grinding and pushing it up. also you will want to use schedule 80 pvc pipe if you can get it and make sure you prime and glue every fitting well because you do not want that to leak when it's started up. it's always good to put a check valve on it as well some where close to where it enters the tank and a shut off valve, the glued pvc valves are handy because you dont have to worry about them leaking

If it's a one shot cleaning and not an ongong additive, bleach can be used to dissolve the tissue.

My saniflo macerator plus has stopped working-it had been making a humming noise not draining-now it's not making a noise at all-what might be wrong please?

It could be a blockage in the blade, impeller or the discharge line. Also could be a defective starting capacitor, since the capacitor spins the blade and impeller, if the capacitor goes bad it will make the unit hum and not pump out the waste until eventually it shuts off completely and would not kick on and off at all. At this point, the capacitor may have to be replaced. You should contact Saniflo to order parts.

Unfortunately the systems are desiged to pump out. The disintegrated screen thing is part of the maceration end of the system. Your going to have to clean the thing out and replace the macerator.

Saniflo permanently on,

If the blade and impeller spin freely by hand after removing the obstruction but does not pump out the waste after assembling the unit back together, then could be a bad capacitor, since the capacitor spins the blade and impeller. If the capacitor goes bad then it will just make a humming noise and not pump the waste out.

Why does sani best need to be 3 feet from stack if it already has to shoot up at least 6feet and over 2feet

just to prevent against cross flow - you dont want effluent from the stack entering your saniflo pipework- to ensure against this with your configuration, i would fit a non return valve on the horizontal inline, preferrably with a cleanout access just in case!!
