I have a computer in my brother's room with a wireless connection to the internet. i would like have internet that is wireless connected to my playstation 3 system. i dont know how or what to use for this.

It's a semi-long process. Do you have a wireless router hooked up to your computer? If so just go to settings then network settings in your ps3 menu. If you have the wireless router then put wireless connection and its straight forward from there. If it is a wired connection and hooked to your ps3 than put wired connection and again its straight forward from there.
Check your wireless network name in your computer if it is wireless enabled.
Then go to your PS3. Go into the network settings and check if the wireless connection is detected.
When you check the network settings, make sure that ip and dns settings are set to automatic.
After that you would need to open some ports on the comp for your PS3 so that you can play online.
