Question about Canon PowerShot SX110 IS Digital Camera

2 Answers

I took a number of sequences of pictures (Group A) and downloaded them onto computer 1. I took several more sequences (Group B). I tried to download both Group A and B onto computer 2. Only Group B downloaded onto computer 2 even though Group A remains viewable on the camera. How can I download Group A onto Computer 2?

Thank you Drifter K. There is no card involved.
The pictures were downloaded to both computers using the interface cable supplied with the camera which connected the USB port on the computer to the camera's A-V Out and Digital

I believe problem is with your camera photo may be those photo got corrupted due to virus.
1) You can simply use USB Drive/Pen Drive for copying from Group A computer 1 to computer 2 .
2) If you have internet connection on both the systems you can use Email by attaching the photo and download the same in computer-2. (Computer-1 to computer2).

Good Luck and have a nice day.

It might be an issue that one group is on internal memory and the other on the card ..if it is so ..remove tha card ..and see if the first group remain visible ..and try to download it without the card inserted to be sure that they are downloaded from the internal memory ..
if this is npt the case..than during the download wizard have to select the pictures you want to download...if it is a folder like you suggested..than select the group A..and than click next to download them ..
another easier method..(in case it has a card ) to not follow the wizard or any other software ..but if the driver is present ..than the storage device ..will be present into the MY computer folder like a removable storage device ..or by the name of the camera ...if you open that folder you will have the pictures available ..and all you have to do is copy/paste them like from a memory stick ..or any other folder...
the majority of cameras behave like that ...Once the driver installed and the communication established ..the internal memory or the flash card seen in my computer like a drive ..

even if the camera has no card inside,,if you still can see the pictures into it ..than you should be able to download them as long as the connection is made by the driver short if some of the pictures are download-able ..they all are ..what you should do connect the camera ..and run again the method you used for to download with success the B series....but this time ..when you see the pictures available in the camera ...keep the ctrl button down ..and select both series..and after that click next to proceed with location and download...The only issue that produce this is that those pictures were not selected..
And again I said ..if you connect the data cable ...confirm from the camera ..and the driver is present should be able to see the camera memory into the My computer folder without any program ..just by its name like any other drive ..and if you double click to open ..inside should be all the pictures,,and you just copy /paste them where you need..
Both methods should work matter if there is a card or not..the internal memory it is enough ..

Check the number sequence of your small camera pictures. If you change the numbers to ascending order that should do the trick.

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones. Now after you've recovered your photos, consider formatting the card in the camera to prevent this from happening again.

My pictures are out of order. how can i fix that?

First, are you trying to view the photos on your camera, or is this after you've downloaded them onto your computer?

I took a look at my Cyber-Shot and it looks like it sorts photos strictly by the numbering sequence, not by date. I couldn't find a way to prioritize it to view by date in the playback menus either. Have you tried viewing them in index mode? You can do this by pushing the "Home" button while in playback mode. From there you can pick either single, index or slide show mode. If you have already tried this, do the photos still show up out of sequence?

If you are trying to view your photos on your computer, it's a simple fix, and it's only slightly different from Mac to PC. When you have the folder open containing all the photo files, simply click on the field at the top of the columns that you want to view them by, i.e., "file size", "file type", "date modified", etc.

I have a sony dsc-f717 took several pictures and now i get format error 13:01 and can't retrieve the photos I've took and veiwed. Help retrieving

1st, try and download the pictures via your computer and a memory card adapter. If you're computer doesn't recognize the card through an adapter,

2) go to
Search by the model number of the Memory Stick. There is Memory Stick recovery software. follow the steps for the download and recovery.

3) On new/blank memory cards, I sometimes have to format the MS in the camera first, then everything works fine.

Photos are out of sequence, summer mixed with winter, one event mixed in all other mixed events.

The camera just assigns names in numerical order (IMG1234, DSC5678, etc.). If you delete pictures or transfer some to your computer and leave gaps in the sequence, the camera will reuse the names. So your photos are out of sequence based on the filenames.

The easiest solution is to not let pictures accumulate in the camera. It's not a safe thing to anyway, since if something happens to the camera or its memory card you will lose all your pictures. When you finish shooting a bunch, upload them to your computer so you can file them. Change the names to something more meaningful than the simple camera-assigned number. Put them into folders so you can find all your trip to the beach photos easily. THEN BACK THEM UP ONTO A CD!!

If you have a whole bunch of pictures in the camera already and they are mixed up, you can upload them to your computer and use the software that came with the camera to organize them by photo date. You can also download applications such as Picasa to do it.

Adjust pictures sequence before burning? usually they can be sorted by file name, date photo taken, date modified.

Some slideshow software also allows you to drag pictures to any position in sequence you want, say Wondershare Movie Story I am using.
