Question about GE Dehumidifiers
Others have had this problem, and are annoyed by it. One fellow in an Amazon Review fixed it, and here is what he said:
This dehumidifier came with the house I bought 6 months ago. It sucks the water out of the air very well. I had to empty the bucket once a day. I finally figured out how to attach a hose (you have to punch through a rubber barrier with the adapter) and haven't had any problems. The unit is very noisy and I can hear it humming from the 2nd floor. When I move it around a few inches, the noise reduces, but it gets loud again after a while. I might wrap the non-functioning sides with foam to help with the noise.
Not sure what rubber barrier he's referring to, but maybe it will make sense to you- hope so.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
