This is a front loader. With a top loader it's easy for things to slip
over the top edge of the drum. A front loader has a rubber seal at the
front of the drum. How can anything big enough to cause a problem get
through the little tiny holes in the drum?

You waited a little too late. I took it to a repairman. The blockage was in the area where the lint is suppose to dump into the drain. He said this was a common problem with this machine.

Take the drain filter out and look inside the drain tube with a flashlight.  Usually, you will find a small sock blocking the drain hose inside.  If you can see it, you can use a coat hanger to pull it out.

I have a samsung dishwasher that won't drain it makes a cracklings noise then the quick light starts flashing if I unhook the drain line and hold it lower in a bucket it will drain

If it is making crackling noises, it has water on electrics and is shorting out. Unplug it a call a technician before you have a fire.

Unhooking the drain line and lowering just allows water to flow past the pump.

Washer didnt drain all the way and now i keep gettin a code. n the light for the door lock wont come on

If water is in tub and the control tries to drain tub but water doesn't drain, then the unit will not operate. Most LG have a drain pump clean out located behind the access door on lower side of washer. Open the door and you will see a black tube with a cap and a round knob. First, get a bucket, pull the black tube slightly out and remove cap. The water in the tub will start to drain and you may have to fill bucket many times to get all water out. Next, unscrew knob and a little screen will pull out. Inspect this screen and inside of pump chamber. Your looking for any thing that could block the pump. If pump hums and still doesn't drain, the drain pump is more than likely bad. Good Luck

Lights 2+4 flashing on dishwasher & won't drain

Doe the pump make a sound as if it's trying to pump out? As it sounds as though your pump is either obstructed, or the outlet waste water pipe from back outside of the dishwasher to the drain, maybe bent somewhere or blocked & not allowing water to exit the dishwasher, if both are clear of blockages & no noise of the pump kicking in to empty the dishwasher then I would definitely say the pump has failed...

I hope this helps....

The tub wont drain

Now for the repairs -

1. Remove all the clothing that is in the washer.

2. Remove all the water you can via a siphon hose technique.

3. Remove drain line from its drain and put it in a shallow bucket on floor and drain out whatever water it may have. Turn off cold and hot water feeds and remove drain lines. Drain water from them.

Now for the hard work - a helper is probably needed. You may wish to take digital photos of things before you take them apart so you get them back together properly later (I strongly recommend you do this). Get the tool box, a flash light, and an extension light out - you will need them.

4. Tip washer over on its side - and watch for and collect any water that it may have still in it. Remove the drain hose from the water pump (the drain hose connects to the pump). Remove belt from water pump. Remove water pump and take it apart. Make sure nothing is blocking the pump itself (a laundry item may be there); reassemble pump and make sure it spins freely at the belt pulley. Check the drain line from tub to pump - and make sure it is clean. You usually have to also remove the solenoid valve that is opened to permit draining as well - just follow the line to the tub. Make sure solenoid valve feed line has nothing blocking it. Once the entire drain line, drain solenoid valve, and pump are clear and clean, reconnect everything properly. Return washer to upright position. Connect water hoses and drain line.

No water drains out of drain plug on Lg washing machine

hi there, this could be one of two problems 1, you have a block in the waste pipe or pump? or 2, your drain pump has packed in and may need replacing?
however if memory serves me right there is an emergency drain tube on LG machines, it should be located behind the bottom pannel on the front of the machine and from there you should be able to release the water from the machine. hope this helps!

LG dishwasher LD-14AW2 starts up & tries to drain for about 2 mins & then the alarm comes on. The wash, rinse & dry lights are flashing. The hose is raised and not blocked because we can blow...

Hi Jeff - am not too savvy with LG - am a Electrolux/Miele serviceman is it possible to gain access to the drain pump from inside the unit? I think it does sound like there is a restriction somewhere perhaps the pumps not running freely.

To check you pour water inside , take the drain hose , operate machine to see how good the flow of the drain is, rule of thumb if you cover the outlet no flow then the problem.

hope this is a start..

Lights are flashing with OE flashing stopped washing

OE is a drainage problem. Check all lines, and drains for kinks.blockage. Ours was blocked in the T connection where the drain goes into the sink( in the black ABS sink part.) Used a screwdriver to simply clear the t connection with the drain hose disconnected.... ran the DW( where it fills w/ water) ,then turn off, and put the drain hose into a bucket... if its pumping water out well, then it could be the sink drain.
If not... a line somewhere is plugged.

Washer will not drain!

you need to remove the drain hoses from the drain pump there may be something blocking the pump.
once you remove the cap to the drain pump you should be able to see the impellar wheel in the pump if there is no water put the unit in a drain cycle and watch the wheel if it does not turn then replace the pump, if it turns then there is a problem some where in the hoses. chances are the one that comes down from the tub to the pump has a restriction

OE light comes on and the water does not pump anymore - what can i do????????????

Hello there :
Hey lg is having all kids of problems with their machines i have the error code for you but if you have a warranty i think i would use it this error code is the one i got from lg them selves ok?
"OE" Drain error > Condition: the drain hose kinked or blocked.
The drain outlet of sump is blocked. The drain pump/motor or circuit is troubled.(shorted )

and here is what you will need to check
Remove kink. check all drainage system and clear as necessary

Check wiring. Measure the resistance of drain motor if the resistance is (20-40ohms) Replace the drain motor or repair the circuit.
I hope this is very helpful for you
Best regards Michael
