First of all, here is the main ONLINE SUPPORT page for your model:

I have a GE dishwasher model # PDW7880. The dishes are not clean even after running the dishwasher for two cycles. Also, the soap often doesn't dissolve. There are no dishes blocking the soap dispenser...

I had the same issue. I discovered that the spray arm at the bottom and the one under the top rack were both clogged with debris. I removed them both and after 20 minutes of running water down them and poking with a paper clip, I got all the stuff out. Now it works like it did when we first got it. The screen on the bottom of the dish washer does not stay down in the groove. It looks like the debris could get back in there again. I am not sure how to permanently fix this issue. I am not very impressed with this dishwasher.

My GE dishwasher is leaking out the bottom of the front door. Everything seems to be sealed properly. I took the inside of the door off and couldn't find anything obvious. Is it possible to be overflowing...

You most likly need a new bottom door seal. Usually 3 screws down each side of the door and then two screws hold the bottom door seal in place. The bottm door seal can look fine but if its leaking out the bottom front this is the problem 99 % of the time, Unless someone is using dish soap to preclean the dishes or using regular in the dishwasher.

Dishwasher leaking

There is a front door seal that may be the issue. It seals along the door sides/top and continues under the door to seal the bottom surface when closed. Mine pulled out of the seal channel under the open door where you can't see it without a small mirror. The seal took a "fixed set" out of the channel so now it will not stay put. It requires replacement.
Hope this helps.

GE DISHWASHER GSD5930

Ron, on these GE's there is a piston and nut assy. This is located under the filter screen in the back part of the dishwasher. It's a simple mechanism that screws out. When these do not seal properly they will leave water on the bottom of the dishwasher. I seen this plenty of time and believe it might be your case. Part number for the assy. is wd24x220. It's not a hard fix...good luck.
