Question about Omnifi DMP1

1 Answer

I want to know if all 4 pin DIN connectors for car stereos would be wired the same ............my reason for that question is because I have recently been given an Omnifi DMP 1 and the previous owner said the controller knob now longer performs the intended scroll function and I am wanting to purchase a head unit that can control the DMI like a cd changer.

I have a Jensen car stereo m 9213 with no wire harness power /speaker plug for the back of the unit, I need to know witch pin is the Power pin, and all the pin destination are,

Find the harness. Your best bet. Hit the wrong wire with power(those pins are really close together) and you will no longer have a Jenson stereo.

Logitech z3 wiring

I have a logitech z3 subwoofer with a mini-DIN-9 connector socket. It also has a volume control and 110V power cord. As best as i could trace the circuit, and using the TDA7377 stereo bridge amplifier chip datasheet, the pinout for the mini-DIN is as follows (untested):
1: L in (to vol.)
2: R in (to vol.)
3: Power (12V from transformer)
4: Standby (5V to play, 0.05mA; 0V to standby)
5: L out
6: R out
7: Ground
8: Ground
9: Ground

Connecting 3 to 4 with a large resistance (~20K ohms) should enable speaker. Pins 1 and 2 might be swapped; pins 5 and 8 might be swapped. Mini-DIN socket pin holes are numbered right to left, bottom row to top row:
9 8 7
6 5 4 3
2 1

I have and old Peavey Mark IV bass head. I want to know if it is possible to remove the crazy 8 or 10 pin footswitch input and replace it w/ a 1/4 in plug. There is only two wires running to this craz

2 wires plus ground needs a stereo 1/4 plug. Don't know Mark 4, but Mark 3 has 2 button fs with 3 wires plus ground. Schematic here: http://el34world.com/charts/Schematics/files/peavey/peavey_mark_3_bass_with_pa.pdf
shows 3 wires plus ground. Stereo plug does not have enough connections, only ground plus 2 wires.
Count the pins of socket and find DIN plug with proper pin-out for socket. Search google for DIN plugs.

Vizio VZ42L. HDTV has stereo speakers connected by what appears to be 5 pin DINS to the television. I would like to use one of the two speakers as my "center" speaker for the surround sound. Is...

Hello

Your Vizio has a 5 pin din connector to take the speaker connection out. There is a 'noch' in the din socket from which count towards left; the first is pin number [1] second is pin number [4]; third is pin number [3]; fourth is pin number [5]; and fifth is pin number [2]. Out of these, pin numbers [2.4&5] has no connections from inside, that is [NC]; not connected. Pin numberes 1&3 are two speaker positve terminals, and the body of the 5pin din pin will act as negative to both channels, that is common.
The company has provided only two channel stereo sound from it to out. There is no provision to get a center speaker out of it. OK.
