AVR-745 Firmware upgrade

I was upgrading to the newer firmware and while downloading the upgrade to my Receiver the computer froze halfway to the update. Had to rreboot the PC and turn on the receiver again however all I get now is standby mode with no display. Tried resetting Reciever but only powers up to standby mode.
Is there hope or am I doomed...warranty is expired.
Suggest a new solution for this problem
