Question about Fisher and Paykel 24 in. DD603H W Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

I got this dishwasher from a friend that had mice chew the hoses and i was told that it worked perfect before the mice chewed it. I replaced the drain and fill hoses plus the power cord. when i put everything back together and power on I get F1 on the top drawer and the rotor rotates and the heater plate turns on. The botton drawer does nothing with no display. I checked all the wires with a meter and found good continuity thru every pin. I replaced the main filter board. I even switched the top and bottom drawers and still the exact same thing PLEASE HELP !! I have invested over 300.00 in this rebuild

Did the F1 error in the top drawer disappear after you replaced the mains filter board?

After i replaced the board the F1 is still on top drawer

The F1 error on top drawer in that case is linked to the lack of any power in the bottom drawer.

For some reason the thermal fuse in the bottom drawer is blown. This causes the controller in the bottom drawer to shut down. If you can replace the bottom drawer heater assembly (which includes the thermal fuse) that should restore power to the bottom drawer controller and hence remove F1 from top drawer.

If you want to avoid an expense - try using the top drawer heater assembly on the bottom drawer and make it work first. Then go about working on the top drawer. Better still first replace the controller module to see if this makes a difference. If not then try the heater assembly.

Replacing the heater assembly is not trivial and will require some patience. But I see you have already done a lot on the machine so you seem to be quite capable of putting in the heater with a little patience.

let me know if you need further help on this otherwise please rate the solution so that fixya can try and improve its service to customers.

Hello. A mouse has chewed through the dispenser hose (hose between soap dispenser & drum) on my Fagor FU6146IT washing machine. Is it the sort of thing I can replace myself? Thank you!

Mice are helpful little creatures...

Mostly if you can take the top off the machine yourself you should be able to replace the hose yourself.

#1 cylinder is not firing. Coil is working as I switched it with another cylinder. Fuel injector is new. Mice chewed the two injector wires at the clip to the injector. They were pressed together. Can

Have you tried replacing the plug on that cylinder ? Might be bad . Also I would replace the wire to the injector that the mice ate. Could be damaged in more then one place.

Car was parked & mice chewed on wires under hood on & around engine

That is not good. They will need to be replaced of course. The only problem is replacing them. It is hard to tell what all they chewed up. It could be more then what is shown.

I HAVE THE SAME DISHWASHER AND THE SAME MOUSE PROBLEM, WHERE ARE THEY COMING IN? AND HOW TO STOP IT!

Mice can enter through the smallest of spaces. Be sure to pack every little nook and cranny with something not to fun to chew on like steel wool. You can work all around the dishwasher cabinet and pay close attention to where your water and drain lines go as well as any access points to adjoining cabinets.
Good Luck!

Leaking from the bottom a lot, immediately when I start the cycle

Problem was that a rat or mouse chewed through the hose. I had seen small pieces of red plastic on the floor in the water. That was a clue that the plastic part of the hose had been chewed up.

Plumbing connection to dishwasher leaking

Remove bottom panel and run dishwasher while monitoring it. A large leak may be from a hose off at pump underneath. Mice can chew holes in hoses too.
