Pull the seal that is on the tank 1/2 way out then close the door. This will make sure the door is tight to the seal. This happens sometimes that the seal becomes flattened. I have been using this trick on Bosch dishwashers since this series came out in 1997.

SOURCE: leaking problem from the door

hi there,
dishwasher leaking might be due to either of these causes, check these:

Main tub seal
Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom
of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you.
But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the
entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from
leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher,
remove the:

* Lower rack
*Spray arm
* Spray arm support
* Wash/drain impellers

Then try the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal
Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly.
You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve
The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the
rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten
or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues
to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the
dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses
Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the
leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Hi,

In some cases, the heat element lining wears out and the element shorts out to the chasis of the dishwahser, thus tripping your fuse.

In other cases, the dishwaser leaks water, and shorts out an electrical component.

It is best to get a repairer to check this out for you.

Water Inlet Valve

If the dishwasher is leaking water the water inlet valve might be defective. If the water inlet valve sticks open, it will allow water to fill the dishwasher continuously. Some customers report that they see clean water filling the bottom of the dishwasher after it's been sitting all night or for a couple of days. If this happens, turn off the water that is supplying the dishwasher. This is normally a valve under the kitchen sink. Then, replace the water inlet valve, it cannot be repaired. The water valve needs at least 20 lbs pressure to shut off properly. If your water pressure is to low replacing the valve may not solve the problem.

Center Wash Arm Assembly

If the dishwasher is leaking water, the center wash arm assembly might be cracked or split. This can allow a jet of water to spray toward the door seal, causing a leak. If a crack or split in the center wash arm assembly is found, replace it. There isn't any glue that will hold the part together inside the dishwasher.

Lower Wash Arm Assembly

If the dishwasher is leaking water the lower wash arm assembly might be defective. If the lower wash arm has a crack or split on the end, it can force water to spray directly toward the lower part of the dishwasher door. Then, the water can be forced under the door and onto the floor. Check the lower wash arm for any cracks or splits and replace it if necessary. Also make sure the screws are tight in the wash arm support. If the screws are loose, water can spray out the side of the pump and cause a leak.

Upper Wash Arm Assembly

If the upper wash arm assembly is broken or cracked it can cause water to spray very forcefully toward the seams of the door, causing a leak.

Door Seal

Every dishwasher door has a door seal. If the dishwasher is leaking water, it might be that the door seal is defective or worn out. Try closing the dishwasher door on a dollar bill and see if the door seal is making good contact all the way around the door. If not, replace the door seal. If the door seal is good or has been replaced and there is still a leak check the door hinges. If the hinges are bent the door will not close properly and the hinges will need to be replaced.

Dishwasher Door Gasket

Every dishwasher door has a door seal. If the dishwasher is leaking water, it might be that the door seal is defective or worn out. Try closing the dishwasher door on a dollar bill and see if the door seal is making good contact all the way around the door. If not, replace the door seal.

Fisher/p nemo dishwasher door

it is sometimes linked to the dishwasher not level or the spring tension on one side getting weak. Refer installation manual http://kitchen.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/c11d2c17-cb0a-489c-99bf-a61513fbf876.pdf to make sure the level is adjusted. May need to replace the door seal in case leak is too excessive.

Buzzing in upper left hand corner of door on Asko D1776. When door is fully open it stops but when door is up it continues and you can feel warmth in the uopper left hand corner.

Hi,

I think what you are describing is the "turbo fan" assembly. This device is used to remove the condensation to insure dishes are dry at the end of a cycle. It actually vent`s out the bottom left side via a plastic housing but the vent motor assembly is located inside the door at the upper left corner.

If it ( the fan) continues to run or "hums" because it`s trying to run, even when the dishwasher is idle or no program has been selected, it is likely a problem within` the control board unfortunately. This is usually caused by the vent assembly getting clogged up so it cannot open correctly and the "wax motor" ( the small device which open`s and closes the vent ) burns up and short`s out the control board.
If you`re capable, you can visually inspect the control and look for burnt up path ways on the printed circuit side ( green side with lot`s of solder joints ).
If so you`ll need to replace the control as well as the fan assembly, or clean the assembly really well as most asko control`s come with a new "wax motor"...or used to where I live. Unfortunately those control`s retail for about $400 and up, and most now are of the "rebuilt/refurbished" kind. The part number should be ( if the model number is correct ) # 8801201.

Hope this help`s move you forward. Let me know either way and I`ll try to assist you further.

Thank`s for visiting "fixya" today for your repair solution`s and good luck moving forward.

Door leak

I had the same problem. On the right side of the tank in Bosch dishwashers there is a steam port. If you place a large object in the right hand edge of the tray, a pressure build up causes the leak. Put large stuff on the left and you should be good to go!

Good luck.
