Question about Bosch HGS442UC Gas Kitchen Range

Open Question

I have a bosch gas range/oven #HGS7152UC-03 Came back from a 1-week vacation and found the display panel off. Unit is plugged in, circuit breaker in basement did not trip (it's on). The range burners will turn on (I believe they are electric); But the oven will not work. All oven controls are operated through the touch pad/panel and it is off and doesn't respond to any touches. I have heard that power outages are a problem for these fancy's possible we had a power outage when I was away, but the microwave clock didn't reset so I'm doubtful that is the problem.

SOURCE: Oven does not heat but broiler does

The most common cause of this symptom is a defective ignitor. Oven ignitors can glow and allow enough current through to open the oven gas valve but just not produce enough heat to ignite the gas immediately (see the link below).

In that case, replacing the oven ignitor is the usual solution.

Hi, well whenever a range will not work in the area of the Oven itself, well it is only one of a few things, it maybe the Thermostat, Temperature Sensor, or main controller board, it may also be a Gas problem, a blocked burner jet etc,but this is unlikely? these suspected components must be tested to find the faulty part, replacement is the only option.
With a GAS appliance, legally a professional MUST be used for safety reasons Therefore i would recommend that you contact a Bosch service center and ask for a service call, if worried about costs, and who isn't? please simply ask them for a "Quote" first, now once you are appraised of these costings you can then decide what to do.

Touch keys on Bosch built in over HBL33 not responding

Not sure about your model but I have a bosch hgs7152uc model. I found that removing two screws and the metal panel in rear of the stove (at top where display is) will provide access to the control panel. There are four screws holding the display circuit panel in place. Two of the screws were not tight which allowed the circuit panel to move backwards when pressed. Tightening all four screws made the display operational again. The screws had lock tight on them but apparently they came loose anyhow over time

HGS7152UC bosch oven door won't seal

Oven doors are designed to have some movement in and out to accommodate sealing against the gasket. If you're not getting a good seal check the condition of the gasket. If it's hard and inflexible you'll need to replace it.

About 5-6 years of normal use can make these hard and inflexible.

I just looked and Bosch calls this the 'Door Seal' pn 1052639

Gas top works-- all electrical is gone-- no ovens, no display panel

Try to find your circuit breaker box and see if any of the circuit breakers are tripped. If one is, push it to OFF then back to ON. If none are tripped and you know which double circuit breaker controls the oven, turn it OFF then back ON. If you know how to use a multimeter, check that you have 240 volts to the range outlet.

No Power to FGF366ESB Range

althougy ou cked circuit breaker did you try unplugging unit waiting 2 min then plugging back in. sometimes you get lucky and will reset. has to do with high voltage bleeding through to low voltage wiring. if it works, your good!!!! if not remove the back panel and check the clock/control for icoming power. as long as you have 110v going in at the black (L1) you should have a display. if you have powerand no display you need a new control.

Error code

Try unplugging or turning off the breaker for 30 mins then plug it back in and see if you still have the 160. I'm surprised that it doesn't have an F anywhere in the code. How old is the oven. Could some of the lights on the control be out. they are LED's and sometime they do burn out. I'm thinking this could be an F06 code which could mean anything from a power surge (clock) and needs to be reset (like I said by switching of the breakers or unplugging) to an EOC (Electronic Oven Control) failure. By switching off the oven and waiting about 30 mins. if it doesn't come back on it will be the EOC. make sure the LED (light emitting diodes) aren't out on the control making you

Oven control panel

Lok at your manual tp view all the possible control options. However, the solution could be; The touchpads, in conjunction with the dial, are used to select an oven mode,
set the oven temperature, set the time(s) and to set up your range. To use the
touchpad, press the center part of the pad with the flat part of your fingertip. A
beep will sound to indicate that the selection has been made. Turn the dial to the
desired setting and press START.

Pull the plug or flip the circuit breaker, wait five seconds and plug in the range or flip the circuit breaker to on. Always set the clock after installation or after a power failure. Once power returns to the oven, the clock defaults to 12:00 am.

Clock time display can be turned off. The default display is on.
2. Turn knob clockwise until CLOCK DISPLAY is displayed.
3. Press START.
4. Turn knob to select ON or OFF
5. Press START to accept new selection.

Reset the Factory Settings This feature is used to change all the “Select Functions” settings back to the original factory settings (or defaults).
2. Turn knob clockwise until RESET DEFAULTS is displayed.
3. Press START. Display reads SELECT FUNCTIONS.
