Vibration (by 4 users)

posted by nexxt on May 03, 2008

WHen the washer goes into the spin cycle it starts to vibrate and shake until the cycle is complete. The is extreme enough that the flooring has developed squeeks. Also the vibration can be felt throught the house. Service people have not been able to find the problem.

My washer has the excact same proble, we cannot use 'Max Spin' or 'Reduced spin' anymore and have to resort to the 'gentle spin'. A repairman came and 'fixed' it for us by installing a new drum/drum roatators ect. and it was okay for about 2 weeks, now it just sounds like a Helicopter in our laundry room.

I have a full service contract and I've been reduced to just calling for service after each wash cycle to get some help relocating the washer to its original space since its moved around the laundry room as a result of the vibrations during the spin cycles. If the washer doesn't vibrate, and sometimes it doesn't, leaning on or touching it during the spin cycle will usually start the noisy vibrations. No one seems to understand how to repair them. Maybe some day they will be replaced with a set of regular top loaders and we can sleep or watch tv again while doing the laundry.

my washer makes me want to take a nerve pill...it vibrates so much the whole house is about to jump off the street we live on. I have written letters to Bosch, who ignore me. I call and they have no record of my complaints..I have had service men out they say the problem is common..and I should learn to live with it. I want my 3 grand back. The dryer now screeches when it runs longer than 20 minutes..I am thinking of going to court!

You may need to reinforce the floor.

Is it on the first or second floor?
