SOURCE: iRiver headphone jack

By the sound of it, I think your headphone jack might be damaged by "tear and wear". In that case, there's little you can do aside getting it serviced. If its warranty is void or expired already, you MIGHT be able to repair it yourself, if you're handy with soldering iron (and, possibly a hot glue gun). However, that would require quite a precision work, patience and vigilance 'cause you could easily damage other electrical components, either by physical means or by burning them out with excess heat... if you're willing to risk it, that is.

To sum it up: you do need to service it.

SOURCE: cect p168 FM Radio

The FM radio works great on the p168. You need to use the head phone that came with the phone, it has a flat plug and plugs in on the side of the phone in the usb port. If you don't have the original head phone that came with your phone I have found them on ebay. I hope this helps you.

Soundlogic XT 5 in 1 wireless headphones will not receive audio from tv; only gets radio stations.

Did you connect the base/transmitter piece to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the back of the TV ? The radio you are listening to is the built-in FM radio/tuner. You need to connect the transmitter to an audio source (TV, PC, CD/DVD player, etc.) to receive sound from that source.

CANNOTE GET RADIO MUSIC NO SOUND

i've just finished repairing one of these Model 88 cd, from Cambridge sound. It also had no audio. I found cracked solder connections on the audio amplifier IC on the amplifier board as well as an inremittent headphone jack on the front of the radio. Try it with headphones, if you get dound try to clean the jack with isopropyl alcohol. a couple of drops inside the jack then insert the headphone connector several times to move the relay inside. Good luck. took me about two hours to resolve this with limited information available.

it maybe that the cut off switch in the headphone jack has stuck as you place in a jack to the headphone socket there is a small switch that mutes the normal speakers and this should switch back on as you remove the headphones, this may have stuck. you will have to open the back and check the back from inside. try to short the mute and see if that is the problem. maybe squirt a small amount of contact cleanrer spray in the jack hole and insert and remove the headphone jack a few times this may resolve.

I hope this was helpful

How do I conect external radio/speakers to my lg 42lh40-ua

There are many options here. Most HDTVs today have analog audio and digital audio output jacks. You can use RCA audio cables or a 3.5mm connector, whichever your HDTV has to connect the analog stereo output of the TV to any number of devices such as a stereo/amp which has speakers attached. You could also connect an FM transmitter to the TV and send the audio wirelessly to a nearby FM radio, boombox, portable etc. Most HDTVs today have a digital audio output, typically optical, which uses a digital audio cable ($15) to connect to a surround sound receiver. You can also connect the stereo analog output jack on the TV to a 2.4GHz transmitter and receiver speaker combo to get wireless audio outside, in a swimming pool and so forth, all around the house using wireless speakers. These setups usually cost around $150 or so. Look for the jack on the TV labeled AUDIO OUT and see if it is the white and red 2 jack ports or the smaller 3.5mm single jack port. Adapter cables are available at Radio Shack for around $10 should you need them. So you see the options are almost endless.

The left side sound is out I thought it was the headphones or earbuds but I even bought new ones and the same problem.

This can be a failure of the connection jack inside the unit or the electronics that supply the signal to the headphone connection. Connectors like this can be purchased at radio shack. The unit will need to be opened up by removing the screws in the back to see if the jack is loose or damaged. You can then plan your next move. be it re solder the existing connector or replace the connector entirely. if you are lacking solder skills locate someone who can help or take the unit to a shop.

Some stations have static

Are you using the FM modulator? Try using a different FM frequency, or use the 'audio out' jack and a cassette adapter. If you plug headphones into the unit, do you still have static?

I am having the same problem with a twist, sound works from the fm and headphone but only from the right side no left audio. I have the 760 and it only has one speaker and my guess it that it gets its feed...

If you use the headphone jack a lot and your missing the audio from the speaker and one channel from the headphone jack, then it's possible that some of the headphone jack connections have broken off of the PC board. The audio goes to the speaker through the headphone jack.

Please see this link for more info and read the section about the headphone jack.

No sound when put on 88.3 fm

I didn't think this unit had an included FM transmitter - so I looked around for more info, and everything I've found indicates it does not.

It will however play audio via the built-in speaker or headphone jack. Use of a third party FM transmitter will allow playing audio (navigation, alerts, MP3 or audio books) when connected to the headphone jack and with both the FM transmitter and FM radio set to the same frequency.

The FM transmitter will work best when set to a frequency that is unused and has the least amount of interference from adjacent stations. Check by tuning the car radio across the FM band and note frequencies that have those qualities. Leave the radio on one of the clear frequencies and set the FM transmitter to the same displayed on the radio. You should try several to find the one that works best. Also, be aware that as you travel, you may enter an area where that frequency (or one close by) is in use by a broadcaster. This will require repeating the process as needed to reduce interference.

How to hookup kindle to car audio system

This could be either very easy or a huge headache.

Easy way - The newer cars have an audio input jack, basically a headphone jack (1/8"). There are cables that you can use with 2 male connectors; one on each end. Set your car radio on AUX/LINE IN/MP3 and turn it up.

Hard way - Go to Radioshack or Best Buy, even Target or Wallmart, and buy an FM Transmitter. They shouldn't run over $20. You plug it into you cigarette outlet for power and/or takes 2 AA batteries. Plug the headphone jack into your Kindle and set the radio station on the transmitter to either a very low or very high radio station; somewhere where there is no station close by. Turn the car FM radio to the station you set it on and turn it up.

No sound

Is there a headphone jack? If so, try a pair of headphones. If you hear sound in the headphones, the main speaker may have gone bad. If you don't hear sound in the headphones, the audio output stage may have have gone bad.

Good Luck,
