How to enable touchpad

On some laptop machines there is a switch on the pad you just have to push to activate the touch pad. If the touch pad is not activated, your using an external mouse instead unplug the external mouse because it is conflicting maybe some laptops you can use both the pad and a external USB mouse at the same time. If this does not activate the pad then you may have to go to dell.com and download the mouse pad driver again for your make and model. More than likely either way this will fix the issue for you. My logitech game pad shifts my mouse pointer erratically

Hi, This seems to be a USB bandwith issue, do you have printers, scanners, external HDD connected to your computer ? If yes please unplug them and see if it works better. If not, try only to unplug the Dual action, and see, if it stops behave this way, then you might want to uninstall LGS and reinstall it.
Thanks and have a nice day J -

My toch pad is not working properly please help me to solve this problem the pointer is not moving on the screen

Did you swtich from touchpad to regular mouse recently?

If not plug in a mouse and go to control pannel and click on mouse icon.

See if the touch pad is turned off in that section, if it is turn it back on and unplug your mouse

If its on then reinstall the touch pad driver from your manufacture driver page.

If it still does not work you may have a defective touch pad that needs replacing

I hope this helps

try using the usb mouse then go into control panel>system>hardware>device manager. Click on the +sign next to touch pad or pointing devices and right click on touchpad, then click on uninstall. Reboot the computer, unplug the usb mouse and the touchpad should be picked up as new hardware and be re-installed.

This usually happens so you dont have 2 mice running at once. Unplug the new mouse and your touchpad should come back.
