I have a brand new Copystar 1635 copier... I just plugged it in and it is flashing an error code C-3100

Mr Thomas, this code means Fixing error, firsf switch on your Photocopier Machine then press 1,0,8,7 again 1,0,8,7 display will change will show u000. then press 1,6,3 press start key two times. machine will go off and on again. try that ,if will not work i will give you onather way.

goto service mode by pressing 10871087. then press 163 then start 4 times.the machine will restart and wola

This is a laser related error. Replace laser unit.

The scanner is locked...look for some large yellow screws on the side of the machine or on the rear of the machine inside of a detent. Turn it left until it pops out to release the scanner.

C6000 is the code for a heat unit error. Either a lamp is defective, or a thermal fuse blown or maybe a thermistor (heat sensing device) is dirty or bad.

the fuse in the fuser is broken replace with a new one.

C3100 Scanner carriage problem The home position is not correct when the power is turned on or copying the document placed on the contact glass. Poor contact of the connector terminals. Reinsert the connector. Also check for continuity within the connector cable. If none, remedy or replace the cable. Defective scanner home position switch. Replace the scanner home position switch. Defective engine PWB. Replace the engine PWB and check for correct operation. Defective scanner motor. Replace the scanner motor
