Make sure tie rod between wheels is straight. if bent will cause wheels to turn outward. take tie rod loose at each wheel, straighten rod reinstall wheels should be straight.

What causes the front wheels to spread out making turning and steering impossible on a husqvarna lawn tractor.

the tie rod between the two wheels has broken or come off
the steering rod works on that rod or on one wheel which is connected to the other wheel by that tie rod.

Front wheels on husquvana riding mower bow out makes wide turns how to replace front axles ?

I have worked on SO many lawn tractors over the years so I feel comfortable telling you this is probably normal. These aren't precision machines, they're stamped metal decks and mostly plastic machines so there won't be adjustments like your car or a commercial machine might have. There may be one or even one tie rod adjustment for each side, but these are all built with a price point in mind as well as the idea that they are big, cumbersome, not easily controlled, imprecise machines so they're designed to have a high positive camber, (the tops of the wheels angle out farther than the bottoms,) and a LARGE amount of toe-in, (the fronts of the wheels point in at eachother), to assist in maneuvering these cheap hunks of Chinese quality. I really wouldn't worry about it, just get the wheel as centered and straight as possible, anything as far as toe or camber past an inch I'd worry about something being bent MAYBE or jut out of "alignment" but if they, when sitting still, are all approximately less than an inch in either of these directions and close to some sort of symmetry, then that's just normal and these other posters are just making you more worried than you need to be. These tractors support their weight, a close to 90lb engine, your weight, are rear wheel drive, have to move and cut grass simultaneously, AND steer, so the geometry is pretty exadderated to make turning and maneuvering easier. This is why they come with steering wheels

If this is your front end, I'd say you probably bent the linkage rods. 61 & 62.
Most alignments start with the steering wheel centered, bring the closest wheel in to alignment, then work the other one in. Again, on these the links often get bent.

Problem 2 is probably a belt slipping or a pulley loose somewhere.Problem 1 .........is the tie rod adjustable? If the tie rods are adjustable, put steering wheel where it's supposed to be when straight, then adjust tie rods so that each wheel is pointed straight ahead. There should be a lock nut that needs to be loosened, then turn the tie rod end in or out and tighten lock nut. Back to problem 2....if it isn't the belt or pulley, it may not be an easy fix.Sometimes over time, belts stretch and get loose, or a set screw in a pulley can work loose, and cause the pulley to slip on the shaft. If it is hydraulic, it might be low on fluid.. I don't know for sure as I am not a big fan of Craftsman lawn tractors. Good luck

Craftsman Lawn tractor - When turning to the left the Left front wheel turns much farther then the right front wheel does on a hard right turn. Almost perpendicular to the tractor. Busings are brand new....

I've noticed this on other Craftsman and MTD mowers. The ones with the one main steering rod from the steering wheel to the left wheel and a connecting rod from the left wheel to the right wheel. I think that since we are advised to mow in a counter-clockwise direction, they design the mowers to turn tighter towards the left. It's in the design just like you suspected.

Look under the front between the wheels at the tie rod that connects the two wheels. It is probably bent up and should be straight. If it's bent, remove it a straighten it.
