My phone is asking for my PUK code but i dont know it an i cant make calls or text an i cant recieve then either.

Only your service provider can provide you with your PUK. It is not on your box and it is not on the card that the SIM card was punched out of. The PUK is unique to each SIM card, and if you put in an incorrect code 10 times you will "fry" the SIM card and will have to purchase a new one. Call your service provider and explain that your phone is asking for the PUK and they will give it to you and will walk you through putting it in and getting your phone working again.

I am using a Smart communication sim card. I forgot my pin code then after 10 trials it is asking for PUK code and I dont know the combination number of my mobile number's PUK code. What should I do?

Shut_Up,

I just fail to understand why you guys use passwords. Or PINs.

Anyway, PIN and PUK are two security features provided by the service provider. The defaults are 12345 and 00000000 (eight zeros) respectively. BUT, given wrong three or more times renders the SIM locked and useless. The SIM has to be changed for a small charge to retain the same old number.

Now that you know where you stand, please call up the helpline of your service provider for the needful.

Also, please stop using passwords in future as forgetting them in today's digital world is the biggest crime.

All the best to you in future.

I cant find the PUK code or the sim code and i dont have time to go to the att store or call them

A request for a PUK code ("Personal Unlocking Key") will appear on your phone if your SIM card PIN code is entered 3 consecutive times incorrectly.

Your SIM card will then become "PUKed" or Blocked. This is a security measure to protect your service.

You need to call the Customer Service department of your cell phone provider and they will give you the PUK code which will unblock your SIM card.

We have a pentech slate, we had a lock code programed into it. today, however, it has decided to reset its PUK code. we have no way to call customer support to find out what the original code is. how can i...

Hi if the phone is asking for the PUK code then the only people who have access to this is your service provider you need to call them you can call them from a landline number or another mobile you need to give them the phone number of the sim thats asking for the PUK code then they will be able to give you the code, they wont charge for giving you this code as it belongs to the sim card so giving them a call will solve the problem.

now you do have another option if you dont need to use the sim card thats asking for the PUK code then all you need to do is get a new sim card, when you get a new sim card you will be given the PUK code it will be written on the card that the sim card is stuck to

but to use the sim card thats asking for the PUK code your going to need to get in touch with the service provider as they hold all the codes and you cant get them without ringing up or going into one of their shops,

the phone is not locked and will work with another sim card so you need to decide wether to ring your service provider or get a new sim card.

let me know if you need further assistance ok

plz rate this solution as i have a whole page of unrated posts, thanks

Entered wrong code pin blocked cant find PUK code

Hi, three wrong entry of PIN code will result in SIM blocking. Once SIM gets blocked, phone starts asking PUK code to enter. If you again enter wrong code for three times, SIM gets completely blocked. You have to walk into your service provider outlet to get a replacement SIM card.

PUK code is a SIM specific code assigned by your service provider. No way you can guess & enter it. So, when it asks for the PUK code, don’t do anything, get the PUK code from your service provider.

Call to customer care using any other mobile phone which uses the same service provider. They will ask some details about you to make sure you are the owner of the SIM card. Questions might include your billing address, email ID, numbers you recently called or messaged etc. They might even ask you number printed on the SIM card, so be prepared with all details before calling them. Once you get the PUK code, enter it into the phone & your phone will return to normal.

Good luck!!!

The pin code bloced, need to enter PUK code,i cant reach it for the time being!!

You need to call the phone company that sold you the phone card to unlock the phone.
PUK means "personal unlocking key" .
The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.
You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the puk code from a database for free.
In your case you need to contact your SIM card phone provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.
If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore

HI I AM HAVING SOME TROBLE I BOUGHT SIMS 3 AND CANT PLAY

Get a video card as was recommended by EA. You have a PCI-E slot (also known as PCI-X or PCI-Express). You should be able to find one in the $80 range at any Best Buy or Fry's that will work.

Pin number

If you have lost your pin number, the only way to rest the PIN is either using a different SIM card, or entering wrong PIN three times, triggering in PUK code, and then calling SIM card phone company to unlock the PUK.

A lost PIN cannot be retrieved, only the PUK can be discoverd, but you will have to call the phone company.

PUK means "personal unlocking key" .

The PUK code is asked if you enter a wrong pin 3 times.

You need to call the phone company that released the SIM card, they can retrieve the PUK code from a database for free.

In your case you need to contact your SIM card provider technical support to unlock the SIM.

The SIM card provider is the brand on the SIM card. For example if you have a Vodafone card, you will need to call Vodafone to get the PUK.

The PIN and PUK are related to the SIM card, not to the phone.

If you replace the SIM card with a different one, then the phone will not ask for the PUK anymore.

Cant pass the sim code

If your not really up for the work to go through for this. You can just have T-Mobile give you a new one for your phone. The SIM card transfer you would have done would have saved only your phone book.

If you are into looking to transfer the SIM card. Call your phone maker. In most Cases its Motorola for T-Mobile.
Call them, and tell them that your trying to transfer your SIM into a newer phone. Alas, They should tell you the code to unlock your phone

Hope this helps!
