Why does the fan run non stop? the compressor runs and shuts off but the fan just runs on high and low. I have 3 other dehumidifiers that the fan runs only when the compressor runs...why doesnt the...

Depending on the time sequence you have this unit set to run, Fredrich's are designed so that the fan runs almost constantly, to keep the air moving. When it senses a rise in humidity above the level you have it set on, the compressor turns ON and runs until the level of humidity is lowered. This is especially true, if you are operating this unit in continual mode.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Dehumidifier seems to not be dehumidifying

If your dehumidifier doesn't seem to run often but the humidity in the room is high, try adjusting the humidistat control on the dehumidifier to a dryer setting. If the dehumidifier seems to run constantly, but there's little or no water in the container, there may be a problem in the refrigeration system. Try cleaning the unit. If that doesn't work, you can't repair the refrigeration system yourself, you need a qualified appliance repair technician to do that.

Makes a loud beep every minute or so. Doesn't seem like basket is filling with water either.

Turn the Master ON/Off Switch to OFF and unplug the unit. Remove the air intake filter and clean it. Allow it to thoroughly dry, before reinstalling it. Once the filter is thoroughly dry, reinstall it, plug the unit back in and turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON. Set the humidity level at 35% and allow the unit to run as you normally would. The beating should have stopped, since you cleaned the filter. Be sure to maintain at least 2 feet of clear air space around the dehumidifier.

Hope this helped you to solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

The dehumidifier runs, cycles on and off, but there is almost no water in the receptacle. I haven't had to empty it since it started cycling on & off this season. I usually have to empty it at...

You may have the humidity setting to high. Try lowering it to 45%. Or if yours doesn't have an LED Screen, set it for minimum. Also, check and clean the air intake filter, if you haven't already. Keep in mind, most dehumidifiers have a fan that may seem to run constantly, but the compressor doesn't turn ON. The fan is circulating air, in a effort to detect humidity levels that are higher than what you have the humidity removal set on.

Hope this helped you.

Unit runs but doesn't pull humidity out of room, filter clean

Possibly lost refrigerant from system- check warm air is coming out of machine. Otherwise it could be dirty filters, and not getting enough air over evaporating coil. Other than this, replacing parts is usually more expensive than buying a new dehumidifier :(
