Please do the following:

1.Update the BIOS/Firmware of your notebook through the manufacturer's support site.
2. If it still persist, and still under Warranty, contact manufacturer's tech support, usually replacing the heat sink and fan resolves the issue.
3. Furthermore, you can attached a cooling mat or fan.
4. If your system is no longer under Warranty, you can have a local tech cleanup your fan and re-apply the appropriate thermal past.

Please post your comment if the information has been helpful which will be helpful in improving my support assistance. Thank you and regards.

I have a prolectrix wall mounted bowed fireplace model BG-D4. The fan quit working and now it overheats and shuts down. Is there a fuse or a reset button?

I don't know this specific product but if it is designed to run with the fan, it will overheat if the fan stops and shut down. Often, the shut down is by a thermal cutout, so just wait for it to cool dow.. You may have to remove power.

Laptop Overheats

When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a can of compressed air to do this.

It is supposed to shut down when it overheats, that is a safety precaution to save further damage. You fix the overheating problem and it won't shut down anymore.

Toshiba satelite P105 laptop pc problem: overheats and shuts down automatically. while in use. What are the causes of overheating?

Normal 0 When a CPU chip overheats it shuts down (thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this problem is not fixed, then eventually the CPU chip will fail. This fault is either a faulty fan or the fan and heat sink assembly is clogged with dust. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to fix :-

Toshiba A65-S1062 - This laptop overheats and shuts down.

I bet that you had your laptop on all the time.
Your heat sink is saturated with dust and grit.
you may have to open up the unit and use a can of dust remover to clean the fins on the heat sink out. it is causing your CPU to shut down bucause it is becoming overheated.
Happy Fixing =)

Built in oven keeps shutting down for no known reason

there is an overheat stat and this is probably coming into operation.
check casing fan is operating - not the fan inside the oven - and check there is plenty of ventilation for the appliance
