Question about Kenmore Elite 45986 Front Load Washer
Use a multimeter to check if the motor is OK. If there is an open winding or if there is a leak to the body then the motor is faulty.If not check the capacitor and replace. Now test with the program. see if voltage comes in after the wash cycle starts. If not the controller is faulty and needs a replacement.
Since you mentioned only the spin part I assume the controller is OK and the rest of function like water loading etc., is working.
