I suggest that you put the disc back into your computer and copy the program again, that should solve the problem

Baby Lock PR600 Next color of stitching does not start in the right place

Is this happening only when you stitch a particular design/pattern? If so, the issue could be an error originating in the design. Sometimes designs are digitized on commercial software with commands intended for industry machines and when the design gets converted to a home format like PES via various conversion programs, the command gets misunderstood. Try reconverting the design again, or contact the digitizer of the design and request they review the design for any errors and create a new PES file for you. Note, there are 10 versions of PES at this time and your machine should be able to read PES version 4 without issues.

How do I get pes files open8 using windows 8

In order to 'see' the .pes files you have to have some software to read it like embird or embrillance. Embird is $164 but has some neat features such as being able to change colors and convert from one type embroidery files to another. You can just transfer them to the USB drive by: Plug in your drive, copying them, eject the usb drive, and then plug it into the machine. The machine will read it without you having a program that can read machine formats.

Transferring DVD designs to USB stick for my Husqvarna Designer 1

First you need your 4D software installed on your computer (or which ever version you are using). Insert the DVD into your drive. Then open your embroidery program and then click File and Open. When the new window opens, search for your DVD drive then find the embroidery you want and click Open. The embroidery yoiu chose should open in your embroidery program with the hoop displayed on the screen. Then save the embroidery under a new name in your embroidery design folder on your computer. Then insert your USB into your computer, Open Disk Manager and Read your USB. Then click on one of the empty squares and then click File then Open. In the new window find the embroidery file you saved under a new name on your computer and choose it. It should show up in the empty square you clicked on. Then Write to your USB. Now you are ready to move your USB to your machine and the embroidery should be there. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I have a designer 1 and it won't recognize the programable d-card I bought a new card but that wasn't it. Can you help

Designer I machines do not use d-cards, so I am assuming you have a Designer II. When you write designs to the d-card in your software, does the process seem to go okay? In other words, is your software recognizing the d-card but when you get it to the machine, the machine won't read it?

Will your sewing machine read the pre-programmed d-cards alright? If yes, then the problem is definitely inside the sewing machine and you will need to get it seen by a technician. If the problem is at the computer you could try reinstalling your software. Also wait until you have opened the software before inserting the programmable card into the reader/writer. It sometimes helps to reformat the d-card every time you use it.

Machine won't recoginze disc from program function

As I understand it, the Load button loads designs that you have prepared earlier and saved within the Designer 1, not disks made and saved in your Husqvarna software. These are the .DHV files (this might not be quite the correct file format name - can't remember!) you might see when you look at a disk in your software.

When in Program mode, you need to use the Menu button to go right back to the first D1 opening screen, then choose the Disk icon, navigate through all that to find your design, choose it and it appears on your Program screen. The second time you hit Menu from inside the program screen, you get taken directly to where you were the first time so it is quicker. But first time, it is a long slow process.

I have downloaded 5 x 7 designs which I have placed in my documents file and need to transfer them to my dongle for the designer 1 machine but have no idea how to do this - please advise if you can help me...

Okay. Firstly, a dongle is the security device for your software so you won't be downloading designs to it. Do you have a USB Designer 1 or a floppy disk Designer 1? I'm guessing USB. You need to load designs onto your USB stick - the Husqvarna one or another generic brand one - same process for both - through Disk Manager 3D program on your computer. This program is part of the 3D or 4D software suite, or you should have got it on a CD with your machine. It is a stand-alone program - you don't need all the other 3D or 4D software to run it.

Your "dongle" is likely a blue USB stick that came with the machine, yes? Do this:
Open Disk Manager program;
Insert USB stick into your computer;
In Disk Manager at the top menu bar you will see a little USB stick icon and a down arrow; click on this and the contents of your USB stick will be read to the Disk manager screen;
Now you load the designs you want to use into empty menus. Empty menus are the grey ones on the left-hand side. Click on one of those and four sub-menus become available. Open one of these (while you are still getting familiar with all this, write down the disk No. and menu No. you are about to use - makes it easier to find your designs at the machine);
You load designs by either clicking on the little blue camera icon (this will bring up thumbnails of your designs) or the file with green curved arrow icon (this will bring up your computer's files - like a Windows window). Navigate your way to where you have your designs saved, just like using Windows windows. If you are using the camera/thumbnail choice you can click many times on the designs and they will load as you go. If you are using the folder/file method you can only load one design at a time then have to re-open the icon.
Once you have populated your menu with the designs you want to embroider, click on the USB Write icon (blue USB stick and Up arrow).
You will be warned that all designs will be deleted. AS LONG AS YOU HAVE CLICKED ON READ USB STICK BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE as per instructions above, all will be well. Your new designs will be written to the stick along with the existing designs that you read into Disk Manager.
Make sure the stick is NOT write protected. Can't remember which way the sliding clip should be for the blue HV stick so if it doesn't work one way, try the other. I think it is away from the computer - but not 100% sure.
If you have your own USB stick that you want to use, open Disk Man., insert your stick then under the Disk menu you will find Format USB embroidery stick. Click on this and it will do it for you. You can still use your stick for Word files, photos etc - just don't load it up with these files. It confuses the HV software if there are loads of non-embroidery files on the stick. Once formatted, your stick will work just like the HV one.
I trust you are okay on how to use the stick on the Designer 1 machine itself? Write back if you need help here too.

General disk error reading when i insert a disk

Look at the floppy disk using Windows Explorer. You should see something to the effect of menu1, menu2, menu3 menu4 and one or two files with a file extension of something like .mhv or .phv . Inside the menu folders, you will find the .shv files.

Just writing the .vip or .hus to the floppy will not work.

Keep me posted and I'll try to come up with something more.

Designer 1 embroidery problem

If the machine is reading the file to not be found it is probably that the designs are on the floppy but the person sending did not read them to the floppy right. they should have been read thru the softwear.
