Question about HP Pavilion a305w (DM181AR) PC Desktop

1 Answer

The on board Ethernet port on my Pavilion a305w will not work. The device manager has the drivers hidden and have to un-hide to view. All the drivers seem to be ok and everything reads ok ready to use etc. Neither of the LEDs are lit on the receptacle. I have reloaded the drivers over the old ones. I have NOT uninstalled any drivers. Thank you in advance Jim

Try with a different port on the switch or the router
Try Restarting the computer

My ethernet port do not work I think my pc missing dell gx60 ethernet controller drivers

Hi,

Verify if the driver is installed properly for the ethernet card using the device manager. If the device is not shown in the devoce manager, make sure the wiring for the card is done properly and there is no loose connection. If the problem continues, try replacing the ethernet card. If that too fails, there is some problem with your computer mother board

Hoe this helps. Feel free to reply if you have any doubts.

My port doesnot even recognize on the device manager. was working fine and now when i plug in...nothing

make sure that the chords are securely connected to the correct slot, and that the jumper pins for them are not either broken off or bent flat. if that isnt the problem try running a registry fixer like regcure or something to clear the original settings. or try to reset your BIOS

Connection problems

Hi,
Your query "is there anyway...remove...wireless network connections 1-8 ...solely on 3?"

In your Device Manager, delete all instances of the wireless network connection except # 3.

However in WinXP, the default setting of the Device Manager is to  hide certain devices (like printers, non plug & play devices and removable devices not currently installed/connected).

In your Device Manager, pls click on "View", check "Show Hidden Devices." Thus enabled, all hidden devices (whether multiple or not) will now be displayed.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
