Question about Whirlpool GEW9250 Electric Dryer
Two screws down the very bottom also 3 screws on the back of the machine top lid area when u get these three off slide the lid backwards then work on the bottom panel after you remove the lid then you will oh just thought of something you wrote did you try holding the control lock button down for 5 seconds this usually releases the lock on the machine if this opinion has answered your question please remember to rank how this helped in your appliance situation and if you have any further questions please message me back have a great day

Before removing the panel, if machine is still control locked, follow instructions here.
If you loose power during control lock, the machine will stay control locked

From the details of your symptom you're indicating a possible intermittent loose connection between the user interface (touch panel) and the machine control board or the voltage supply to machine control board at P1 connector. Disconnect the power cord from the power source.
If the wires are good then you will need to replace the control board on your unit.
