I have a Fujitsu Lifebook N6410. Sys. MS Window XP 2002. Is there a way to prevent the cursor from jumping when typing. It apparently is caused by accidentally sweeping over the touch pad.

Go to Control Panel > Mouse > USB Mouse Connection > Select Mouse pad is automatically invalidated.
This setting turns off the mouse pad whenever a USB mouse is connected.

How do I turn off touchpad on my Del laptop e/w Windows 7. I use a Logitech wireless mouse and think many of my typos are due to inadvertantly hitting the touchpad with my hands.

Open the Touchpad properties fron the control panel and you will find an option called disable touch pad when external mouse is attached. You need to check that box and apply the setting.

*Touchpad properties will be located inside the mouse properties.

Help

The problem could be due to keyboard key stucking or malfunction.
For example,if Ctrl key is stuck whenever you clikc anything with your mouse pad it will automatically select those items. Similar case with Shift key too.

Blow your keypad with an Air-blower and if you can take out every key,it will be more fine.

your problem will be solve. if you have never laid any hand on computer hardware, get someone who can do it for you.

HP TX1000 Tablet The cursor on my screen keeps going to the bottom left hand corner and stays there. The problem remains even when I used a USB mouse. Anyone knows what the cause?

click start button in lower left hand corner, then a pop out menu will come up, click control panel, then find mouse, click it, then go to pointer options and click it, see if theres a box checked that says something like (automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box). uncheck that box......hope this helps you.......

My laptop keeps having the menue pop up as if I have right clicked on the mouse but I have not

Try just using the touch pad after disconnecting your mouse.
If that works, you've got a bad mouse. Replace it.

Keeps wanting to load fax & photo gallery when I log in

Things like to plant themselves in your start-up in windows. It is getting more obscene with software as the years go on.  Both XP and Vista have similar fixes for slow start-ups.  (In XP) Go to Start-->Run a box will pop up to type in a command, *In Vista, you can type "run" in the search box at the start menu* Type "msconfig" and a system configuration utility will pop up.  Click the tab that says "start-up" and un-check the software for your photo gallery and fax software.  *and any other non-needed programs for starting up your computer

Windows keep popping up

I've had this happen to me by accident once and a while. if it's many months then possibly re-installing the touchpad drivers (or updating them) would help.
You can also adjust mouse settings in the control panel, found in my computer on the left side of the window.
Hope this helps a little, It does sound like the buttons are sticky. be sure to rate! :)
